Agree and disagree with parts of this. Having an unbeaten former heavyweight champion active is a good thing. But he shouldn't be coming back against some absolute bum. What's the point?

Point is first fight after three years. A fighter needs to get his/her feet wet again. No one knows what to expect in first fight back.

They'll have an idea though. As said elsewhere Mayweather and Leonard had two/three years out and came back against Marquez and Hagler. Fury isn't their level but he can't come back against some total bum.

He bottled the rematch twice and his uncle died months after the Ustinov pullout.

Again, if he wants respect he could do with not slagging off fighters who get injured or use weak excuses, and then use the same weak excuses himself. Likewise, it's a better look if you're going to come back against a total no-hoper if you say 'I need to ease myself back in as I've been out a while' rather than harping on about beating Joshua and Wilder at the same time and fighting Igor the taxi driver.
