Parker / Whyte and Chisora/ Takam
Re: Parker / Whyte and Chisora/ Takam
Almost thought Parker had given up until the last 30 of that round.

Dillian Whyte is winning this fight, because the Kiwi's punches aren't really scoring, even though they're landing, because there's no power behind them.
Quality trumps work-rate for me in this fight.

I have it 67-65 DW so far (67-66 without that fake kd)

Parker looked like he's losing his ambition. He's stopped throwing punches.

Parker is comfortably ahead and Parker looks like he doesn't have a plan B.
The Kiwi is losing rounds but he's not doing anything about it, even though the Brit looks exhausted.

Parker needs a KO to win this fight.
Dillian is doing a better job against the Kiwi than AJ did.

Whytes jab is very respectable. He’s better then I thought.

Re: Parker / Whyte and Chisora/ Takam
Parker really doesn't have any power and that's the reason why he's losing.

Dillian Whyte wins this fight despite the breathtaking finale from Parker.

I agree, but let us wait the judges....Enlightened-One wrote: ↑28 Jul 2018, 18:42 Dillian Whyte wins this fight despite the breathtaking finale from Parker.

Re: Parker / Whyte and Chisora/ Takam
I had it 114-111 (without fake kd and with Whyte 1 point deducted for fouls it should be 113-112 for Whyte, but round 2 could well go to Parker then 113-112 Parker, anyway close fight)
Re: Parker / Whyte and Chisora/ Takam
Parker Drops and hurts Whyte has 15 seconds to finish things, Whyte holds for this life - survives. Unfortunately Parker you left it too late. Very average and lethargic effort. Credit to Whyte for coming to fight. Deserves the victory.

The WBC have to force Deontay Wilder to face Dillian Whyte if the AJ bout cannot be made.
The Bronze Bomber has ducked the Brit for far too long.

Difficult to say how much the clash of heads changed things, but full credit to Whyte. He fought for his life tonight.
Re: Parker / Whyte and Chisora/ Takam
I had 9 : 3 rounds for Whyte (the first KD was fake, evidently, and, yes, Whyte should have been 1 point deducted), so, 115-110 for Whyte is quite fair.dagilechia wrote: ↑28 Jul 2018, 18:44 I had it 114-111 (without fake kd and with Whyte 1 point deducted for fouls it should be 113-112 for Whyte, but round 2 could well go to Parker then 113-112 Parker, anyway close fight)

Whyte Parker
No questions about the decision in this hard fought out fight although the early going suggested it was going to take more than a few rounds to determine who would take charge.
The first knockdown Whyte scored was a bit dubious as it appeared like his head did more damage than the punch, I hoped that wouldn't be the factor that swung the fight should it go to the cards.
The second knockdown Whyte scored was legitimate as he stamped his authority on the contest with a superb left hook, Parker took the shot well shook himself down and showed he has a solid chin.
Whyte's jab and body punching were consistantly effective throughout the contest as he bullied and hustled his way forward.
Parker offered enough resistance to remain a threat right to the final bell as Whyte gassed out in round twelve and suffered a knockdown himself, Whyte held on as the clock ran out and won a just decision.

Re: Parker / Whyte and Chisora/ Takam
Parker is so damn hot and cold all the time. I can't believe he lost to Whyte, just like I couldn't believe he had a close fight with Ruiz Jr. Crazy that Parker shows up like that in almost all his fights. Guy has the mentality of a sparring partner, not a world champion.

The World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman told the media this morning that they would allow Deontay Wilder to engage in a rematch against Luis Ortiz prior to performing a mandatory defence of his WBC crown against Dominic Breazeale, which essentially means that Dillian Whyte won't be given a shot at The Bronze Bomber within the next twelve months, despite being the highest ranked title challenger for so long.jamamb wrote: ↑28 Jul 2018, 19:39yes whyte clearly deserves a shot at this pointEnlightened-One wrote: ↑28 Jul 2018, 18:46 The WBC have to force Deontay Wilder to face Dillian Whyte if the AJ bout cannot be made.

The WBC are essentially allowing Wilder to continue facing fellow Al Haymon stablemates until the title unification bout against AJ happens, which is an absolute disgrace.
Al Haymon wants that heavyweight title unification money, regardless as to whoever holds the WBC title.

The WBC have little integrity or credibility.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑29 Jul 2018, 09:52The World Boxing Council President Mauricio Sulaiman told the media this morning that they would allow Deontay Wilder to engage in a rematch against Luis Ortiz prior to performing a mandatory defence of his WBC crown against Dominic Breazeale, which essentially means that Dillian Whyte won't be given a shot at The Bronze Bomber within the next twelve months, despite being the highest ranked title challenger for so long.jamamb wrote: ↑28 Jul 2018, 19:39yes whyte clearly deserves a shot at this pointEnlightened-One wrote: ↑28 Jul 2018, 18:46 The WBC have to force Deontay Wilder to face Dillian Whyte if the AJ bout cannot be made.

They are a profit making concern first and foremost. They are often quite happy to even turn a blind eye to their own rules if it suits them.
They also understand that we want Joshua v Wilder, so there won't be many complaints from us if it gets delivered come April.
Even Whyte seems happy enough to deal with Boxing politics as they are. As for Wilder, the only thing that counts is to remain unbeaten. A rematch with Ortiz won't be the first thing on his wish list!
