Going by memory I don’t think Mike was ever dropped: he caught a full blooded shot from Julian Jackson, badly rocked, didn’t go down though. That’s some chin.

Bizarre that the chinny Wilder would somehow make it into a thread about the greatest chins of all time

Didn't the French dude drop him? I can picture him, WBC light heavy and WBA cruiser. He had a brother too, Tiozzo.

Curry rocked him, he hit him with a great right hand in the 2nd.

Arbachakov was only dropped once, in his first fight with Kittikasem.

I don't think Nazarov was ever down.

How bout Kotelnik?

Hagler was dropped by a body shot from Norberto Rufino Cabrera in france, sorry no source, I read it in a boxing magazine some years ago.
Mike McCallum was droped by Roy Jones

But would he if the Browne fight never happened?
But indeed, that's why I said nearly.

Ike Ibeabuchi? (correct me if I'm wrong)
The Browne fight did happen and he did get floored, don't get the 'nearly' bit you keep going on about :brick:
It's just a very rare thing, high level heavyweights that never dropped. But at least I came up with two names, and named someone who allmost achieved it, while you're just banging on the "ha, I can read the word "nearly" but don't know any good answer myself, so just try to annoy you!". :brick:

Hector Camacho ?
Tito & Oscar dropped him if I remember correctly.

ya cant find any case of kotelnik being dropped, was a really sound technical fighter with tight guard, some dispute his win over maidana but i thought he won legitimately

just too basic athletically for faster top level guys

I do not think active fighters do or should count. No one is knocked down, until they are.

Oh Probably right about McCallum getting dropped then, I recall him getting shook up a few times, excellent chin but not in the Hagler category. I don’t think Marv was ever visibly badly shaken, Hearns and Minter hurt him ( maybe ) but it was fookin hard to tell.

Fabriz and christof tiozzo?
Aye, that's them. Fabrice dropped him, he was a pretty good fighter in his day. Nothing special or excelled in any one area but a tough night's work and a big lump. I thought McCallum might make him look pedestrian but he got outhustled.

Pretty sure neither DLH nor Tito knocked Camacho down but he did an awful lot of grabbing and holding. Duran, Rosario, Limon, Ramirez or Chavez didn't knock him down either. I know Rosario hurt him hard a couple of times and he was dropped a couple of fights later against Reyes Cruz. Still, pretty good chin although his style changed noticeably after Rosario.

So he doesn't really fit the title of the thread then does he ?
I'm sure I remember him getting dropped by a big right hand against Klitschko aswell.

The tread title didn't ask for nearly though did it,or specify heavyweights ? i could have named McCall but that was obvious, instead you named someone who did get knocked down.I'm not trying to annoy you,i simply pointed out you were wrong, simple as dat
Yea, and that everybody already named him and let you realise beforehand that he nearly achieved it which made your comment completely pointless.
Mine was pointless ?   i didn't name him because it was pointless, you named Chagaev which was also pointless,You may as well say Wlad didn't get knocked down, apart from the times he got knocked down :witzend:

I think Eubank came off the canvas to stop Watson in the 12th.

No, Taylor couldn't put him down. Towel came in.

Council knocked him down with a great left hook before stopping him a round or two later.

Reggie Johnson had a solid beard and went in with some big punchers (Parks, Castro, Guthrie, Klemetsen etc) but he admits that a handful of guys knocked him down with quick shots (Eric Williams, Victor Walker, Ismael Negron, Eddie Hall and Roy Jones). I remember Jones knocking him down.

Ramirez went in with some big guns, he has a really early stoppage loss to Olivares down at feather so I have to assume he was on his arse at some point.

Nelson had a great chin but Sanchez knocked him down twice. Was he knocked down after that? Leija?
