Pulev knocks out Helenius, I Personally think Helenius is not that good, he proved that against Duhaupas, Whyte beat heam easily and Chisora was robbed against him...
Helenius has a decent chin. Pulev’s main attribute is jab. He’ll out-box him over 12 rounds. Can’t see a KD.. maybe a rtd.
Agreed, brutally dull distance fight.
Has Pulev ever been on an exciting fight that he won?

If Pulev lose the fight, does he lose the mandatory to AJ?

He's never been in a decent fight.

That really depends on how you define 'a good fight'. Does a good fight have to be both competitive and exciting or can it be competitive or exciting ?
His challenge against Klitschko was possibly Wlad's most impressive display. It was a one sided beat-down but I think most would have to acknowledge it was the most action-packed fight of Pulev's career, and anything but boring, but whether you could call it 'a good fight' depends on who you ask.
@Ruthless: Not exciting, no (as far as I know anyway). Interesting, maybe even intriguing, but Kubrat doesn't really do exciting.

pulev has a jab and grab heavy style with little power (at least wlad could ktfo a muthaf@ucka), thats a recipe for non entertainment

Looks like this fight won't happen. Helenius refused the fight.

It was much more one sided than I remembered it in my admittedly biased memory.
:(
Pulev wasn't scared and tried his best. Unfortunately Wlad found his defense - what defense? - which consisted of just standing in front of Wlad at Wlad's ideal punching range with his arms wide apart very nice. I think that Pulev has learned a few things since then.

"The Swedish Finnish passport refused to go to the Los Angeles gang on March 23, when the next meeting of the Bulgarian is scheduled, reports the headquarters of Cobras."
What does that say, they won't give Helenius a passport to the US? Then hold the fight in Europe!

That's a shame. Wouldn't have been a blockbuster fight but was a higher level stay busy fight for Pulev than most heavyweights even attempt.
Who can step in with 2 weeks notice? Would probably be easiest to bring in an American for Visa reasons but who's even available? Ruiz Jr? Martin? or someone much worse
Some like Carman or Zhilei Zhang would probably be able to take it easily aswell. Any lower and it's just your standard heavyweight mismatch.

It would've been a good scrap! I wonder if Pulev will just scratch the fight at this point.

Damn, misread the date, thought it was 23rd of Feb. Oops. You can disregard half of the post then.

It's March 23. Six weeks out. Not time enough for a full camp, but enough to maybe get someone half decent.

Yeah just realised.
To put it into context, Hearn managed to bring in Helenius for Whyte on two weeks notice. So hopefully there should be someone around at the same level or similar level. The ones i mentioned would still be relevant i guess. but add some more to the list.

HW don’t need to make weight. That’s a positive. Also, plenty of boxers do stay fit between fights and some may already be on some sort of camp.
Pulev is not gonna fight a better opponent than Helenius IMO.

Helenius' Facebook page. Nothing about not fighting Pulev. He's been training hard.

Pulev will fight Bogdan Dinu
Helenius would've been more competitive but this is probably a more winnable fight for Dinu (compared to Miller) as Pulev doesn't tend to look for the KO. Not very interested in this one tbh.

i'm not interested too, i don't think that Dinu is much worse than Helenius
