Is the anger on Twitter because it's ppv at silly o'clock? I get the annoyance but we all know every Joshua fight will be ppv regardless of where. Or is it because it's abroad And people won't be able to see it live who would ordinarily have gone Cardiff or Wembley? Would it have got panned as much if it was Miller at Wembley? A lot would have but I don't think it would have been as bad.

Really curious with ticket sales they seem high to me. If it still sells really well Hearn and Joshua really have made a statement
I think they deserve a bit of stick.

They booked Wembley months in advance. Sky have been running 2019 adverts for months saying "Joshua at Wembley".

Despite knowing the date and the venue for at least 4 months they couldn't deliver a fight a Wembley on the planned date meaning they've now got to go to the states in June and cancel the Wembley date.

They have failed to provide an acceptable offer to Wilder, Fury and Whyte during that time.

Miller is possibly a top 10 fighter but if so only just. And let's face it he's only got the gig because he's promoted by Eddie Hearn through the dazn deal.

They've been complacent and it's bitten them in the bum. They're now spinning big time on the NY fight but they would have wanted that Wembley gig, let's not kid ourselves.

And both Joshua and Hearn made fools of themselves at the last Whyte fight.

No wonder Whyte is shopping around for a new promoter.

Don't get me wrong, I think Joshua has been managed very well by Hearn up until recently.

They saw their chance to win the title and bid big to get the fight with Martin. That was excellent matchmaking.

They got Klitschko at the right time and just about got through that fight. It was an exciting fight and that gave them a big groundswell of support.

Breazeale, Takam, Parker were pretty boring fights but they had the crowd on their side.

They picked Povetkin at the right time too.

The problem they have now is that people who aren't hardcore fans know there are 2 big fights out there now after Wilder v Fury and they expect those fights to happen. Therefore Miller in NYC is not going to cut the mustard.

They've made shed loads of cash from those punters so far. Those punters don't want to hear that their man is being greedy meaning the big fights can't be made. Those punters made Joshua and Hearn rich with their support after all.

I think it'll be even quicker than that.
AJ beats almost everyone crap in a round or 2. Not that Miller is THAT bad, but - like you say - he only knows how to trundle forward and get involved.
Easy meat.

Not PPV worthy, but I'll buy it of course. Let's hope it has a great undercard.

You are 100% correct. And we all pretty much agree that after the top three, the talent falls off a bit. There is no doubt Miller is top 10 right now. I think AJ will pound him into dust, but I also realize I have a disdain for Miller which may cloud my judgement on this one.

hes consensus top 10 and would easily be in the group of the very best wins for every other hw. tell me who he wouldnt be for.

hes a totally fne challenger and has already beaten multple guys who already got shots before him. whch guys who havent fought for a belt are more deservng? just dyl?

add to that as a ny hometown boy and unbeaten amercan = 100 percent sense as a us debut opponent

Well if you're only counting guys who haven't previously fought for a world title then yeah he would be top 10.

Who says you can only get one shot though? And if you lose it means you can't be ranked highly any more based on a previous loss? If that was the case we would have missed many great rematches in the past.

Compare him to the rest of the top 10 and you can rate him anywhere from 4th-8th. No one after the top three is a world beater.

You ARE right jama - he's not a bad scalp at all and he deserves a shot as much as anyone available bar Whyte - who turned it down.

It IS still all a bit rubbish, tho' - isn't it ?

We did a poll recently on here on the top heavyweights and Miller came in 9th or 10th if I recall? I think that was a pretty good poll and the list was a fair representation.

In his case, you can look at how he dispatched his opponents. I'm not putting up a tough argument as I really hate Miller, but when you compare him to most of the top ten, it can be a coin flip. The good news is that we'll know for sure after this fight whether Miller is just a big mouth or a really good fighter.

Yeah I think there's not a lot between 4th and 10th as well it all looks much of a muchness.

But the other guys have built a better record and deserve to be ranked higher...... At the moment

lets look at some facts bruhs (im not eo btw lol). none of this 'lol youve been blinded by eddeh' crap. lets get down to it bois.

miller is rated top 10 by every major publication or ranking site ive seen so far, so stop with the 'well maybe just maybe he might arguably be barely top 10 at best' waffle:

#6 boxing monthly
#6 boxrec
#6 pbo
#7 espn
#7 transnational rankings board
#8 boxrec forum
#9 the ring
#9 boxing news

in all of these lists, aj has already beaten some of the guys ranked ahead of miller, and of course aj himself takes up one of the rankings

the following guys are just some of who have gotten shots from recent champs but miller hasnt:

duhaupas (beaten by miller), washington (beaten by miller), szpilka, molina (2 shots), andy ruiz, razvan cojanu, brezeale , shot arreola (3 shots), leapai, pianeta, hughie, glazkov, martin, wach, mormeck, browne, totally inactive and fat and undeserving stiverne for his second shot

some of the last few champs best wins when they got there shot:

wilder--malik scott, aud harrison, calvin price
aj-whyte and maybe kev johnson?
fury-hammer and chisora?
valuev--cliff etiene and old larry donald (a questionable decision)
ibragimov-lance whittaker, friday ahunyanya, and zuri lawrence?
liakhovic--friday ahunanya and dom guinn (plus a ko loss to mo harris in between these)

the best wins of other high rated hws:

lol please dont tell me miller simply cant match the overall quality in any of these lists. no list has more then 1 guy defo better then him and in fact id say wlad is the only one who matches that. hed be among the best wins for anyone except maybe aj

wilder: ortiz, stiverne, and maybe duhaupas or scott?
fury: wlad, hammer, and chis?
ortiz: jennings, 46 year old thompson, and kauffman?
parker: takam, ruiz, huggie?
pulev: chisora, hughie, dimitrenko/thompson?
breazeale: mansour, ugonoh, molina?

now fair play to dill whyte for a strong run as a contender. he deserves a shot more then miller but aj already knocked him out so im more interested in miller as someone new

miller is an unbeaten new york boy and the fights in new york
so makes sense there too

the people who think this is some awful sh!tty fight and '@#@#! aj and hearn for this!!' etc are delusional about what sh!tty fights and challengers really are.

It's pretty simple really

There's more than 5 guys with a better record than Miller and who have competed at a higher level than Miller has.

You're just defending Hearn and Joshua blindly as you often tend to do.
