Look, it's clear what the best option is. There's long been a history of great champions at lighter weights stepping up to seek the heavyweight title, from Fitzsimmons to Holyfield and beyond. So, straight from the WBA cruiserweight rankings, it has to be Beibut Shumenov. Everything is right about this one, for the following reasons:

- he's got nothing scheduled.

- he'd be seeking his third world title in three different weight divisions. Great story.

- he's truly a triple threat, as he boxes. manages and promotes himself (or at least has done in the past, I believe). If he is still doing all of that, he will surely be easy to negotiate with (and will probably do the legal work himself, and make the tea).

- he could co-promote to take some of the burden off Matchroom.

Failing that, if we are looking for a multi-division WBA champion seeking another title, what does Leo Gamez weigh these days?

I think you are probably right, most fighters are on the gear these days.

Boxing already has very little credibility so allowing this fight to go ahead i.e. deciding that ped use is more acceptable than a few dudes not making as much money as they thought they would, is not that much of a stretch. Great example to the next generation...

I think most involved would allow it to happen even though it’s wrong, money talks, Hearn is saying the New York Commision are super strict and won’t give miller a license to fight, so maybe it won’t happen, which as you said it shouldn’t.

I just read that Miller also failed a test after a kickboxing bout in 2014. I did not realise that he had plied his trade in both sports at the same time and went 22-2 in professional kickboxing. That one flew over my head.

I am absolutely devastated upon hearing the news my boxing license has been revoked in NY State and I will be vigorously appealing this decision. I have NEVER knowingly taken any banned substance and when I found out the news last night I was totally shocked.
My team and I stand for integrity, decency & honesty and together we will stand to fight this with everything we have!
This was a voluntarily test that I was very happy to do and these results came just one week after another voluntarily test that I had taken which was completely clean. I refuse to just lie down and let my dream be taken away from me when I know in my heart that I’ve done nothing wrong.
15 years of hard work. I’m WARRIOR .. I don’t need a banned substance.
Remember don’t believe everything you hear and see. The facts will prevail and I shall be vindicate. I don’t have anything to hide and the truth will make itself known.

from what I have read pal, this drug was very popular amongst the soviet-block weight lifters and more recently cyclists - it can be in tablet or like a drop

People say AJ is on Peds too but if that is correct how can one boxer hide the drug from being detected when another one can't?

For what it's worth I don't believe AJ takes illegal substances to improve his performance there is no need in my opinion with the shower of what that lurks in the heavyweight division.

I have spent too much time reading into things pal - I am a bit numb to people testing positive

(although I will like to mention, the warm weather camps AJ does in Dubai have been highlighted by fighters ironically Dillian and Miller)

I have never taken steroids and have no wish to but at 50 I tend to struggle with my weight it's easy to put pounds on but harder to lose.

In the past I have taken some surpressent pills that eliminate the wanting of food but found that it made my heart beat fast and made me anxious for about 2 hours.

Obviously side effects can be dangerous with pills etc with mood swings and such but reading about this stuff it seems ok, as such.
