Funny how barely a single respected boxing journalist or insider was saying that before the fight. Clearly you have unique gifts of insight

And just to be clear, you only need to read this poll of BS contributors to see the evidence of how seasoned observers rated Lacy:

He looked absolute garbage to me. Just watch the fights.
I did at the time, and as that link proves, not a single person (other than you apparently) was claiming he was garbage. You're really clutching at straws here...

They must be blind then.

Buncey predicted Joe would win every minute of every round.

It was at super middle. Or are we now rewriting history where it was at a higher weight where he lost but would still be good enough to beat the greatest 168lber this country produced?

You really need help. You have been at this Eubank obsession for years now, weaving in half truths and made up facts to suit your weird little obsessive narratives.

Always helps your credibility when you say that former fighters, expert commentators and analysts must all have been blind

As for Bunce, your half-truths are emerging once more, as he actually said this:
"Calzaghe will win it. Lacy hasn't beaten anybody who's been anywhere near their best. He's the American idol but he's really not that special. Hopefully Joe has enough left and has not left it too late for the big fight."

So yes, he tipped Calzaghe, but was clearly concerned that he may be wrong and Calzaghe could unravel because of age. He clearly didn't say what you claimed he did, but why let truth get in the way of your stories, eh? :TU:

According to Bunce himself he said it. Might be fibbing but still. It was blatantly obvious Lacy wasn’t very good, just watch him fight!

I was wrong, he actually said he had predicted Joe would win every second of every round - not every minute.

Apparently so, Teddy Atlas mentioned it once and Eubank did very well apparently with his jab?

Eubank also had a real fight with Atlas himself, and went to hospital after Atlas bit his ear (when Teddy’s bare fisted punches weren’t putting him over).

From Calzaghe's interviews/pods with both Costello& Bunce and Tris Dixon, although Joe might have won handily on the scorecards he readily admits that the Eubank fight was one of his toughest. He states that Chris snr said to him before the fight that he was going to take him into the trenches and Joe admits that exactly what he did and was knackered after 4 rounds and really had to dig deep to stay on top of Eubank.

Eubank now recalls: “I got the call at 11 days notice. I lost 20lb in seven days, but I underestimated him and thought I could beat him on heart alone. I knew after 15 seconds how wrong I was. He proved his championship quality.”

Eubank simply did not see that shot coming.

Up before the count smiling ear to ear.

apparently the point Eubank made to Wilder and Breland in the changing room before was that he was so fearful of Breland's right hand in '84 that the adrenalin allowed him to fight beyond himself, and could be the same for Ortiz in terms of reflexes etc

(they say Eubank was countering Breland's jab with his own before being stopped on his feet and then having a hissy fit at the ref for stopping him)

What fight were you watching? He looked great. Destroying solid contenders like Pemberton, Vanderpool and Robin Reid with ease hence why he was favourite. Post Calzaghe was another story. That fight legitimately ruined him.
And no version of Dean Francis would have touched Joe. Hes easy one of the top 3 brits of all time.

You can’t be easy to hit against Dean Francis of all people.

The fight before Calzaghe he looked slow, cumbersome and was arcing his punches. Life and death with a shot Omar Sheika etc.
