I looked it up on the Civil Birth Index (you can do it via Ancestry) and that shows him registered as 'Tyson Luke Fury'. So, I don't think Luke is his real first name anyway.

He was listed as LTF in the ams and on Boxrec for quite a while. The way it was told to me was Hughie's middle name was Lewis and the big lad's was Tyson.JC wrote: ↑31 Mar 2025, 06:24I looked it up on the Civil Birth Index (you can do it via Ancestry) and that shows him registered as 'Tyson Luke Fury'. I've obviously no first hand knowledge of his family, past, etc. But as far as I know the Civil Birth Index lists what's on your birth certificate and therefore your legal name. Maybe he chose to use Luke in the amskeithmoonhangover wrote: ↑31 Mar 2025, 06:32He was listed as LTF in the ams and on Boxrec for quite a while. You can change the name on your birth certificate, I know someone who did that.JC wrote: ↑31 Mar 2025, 07:14I've obviously no first hand knowledge of his family, past, etc. But as far as I know the Civil Birth Index lists what's on your birth certificate and therefore your legal name. I've no idea, but it seems people who are fascinated by it don't apply it to Clay, etc.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑31 Mar 2025, 06:17So Luke is his name?mickey1975 wrote: ↑31 Mar 2025, 05:55It puzzles me why people who call Fury Luke don't insist on calling SRR by this name.

You can correct a mistake on a birth certificate or legally change your name later in life, but the Civil Birth Index records the name you were originally registered under(so far as I understand it).keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑31 Mar 2025, 07:22You can change the name on your birth certificate, I know someone who did that.JC wrote: ↑31 Mar 2025, 07:14I've obviously no first hand knowledge of his family, past, etc. But as far as I know the Civil Birth Index lists what's on your birth certificate and therefore your legal name. You can apply to change it. My friend did so successfully. He kicked up a lot of fuss.JC wrote: ↑31 Mar 2025, 07:33You can correct a mistake on a birth certificate or legally change your name later in life, but the Civil Birth Index records the name you were originally registered under(so far as I understand it).keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑31 Mar 2025, 07:22You can change the name on your birth certificate, I know someone who did that.

Re: Liam Smith is the best Smith
If I ever have to put together a random quiz for work / friends, I nearly always put in a question about Walker Smith Jr. being which famous boxer’s real name. Pretty much everyone tends to guess Ali
