As amazing as the boxing achievements are, the contribution to society has been greater.

Adam Booth definitely boxed
According to Wiki:
"He boxed amateur at Winston Churchill ABC, Croydon ABC and the Lynn ABC. Approximately 40+ bouts.
Turned professional and suffered career ending injury prior to debut."

No links to his boxing career on Wikipedia, maybe he added that himself!
Also I have never heard of Winston Churchill ABC

Maybe we can get Tris Dixons life stories on to it!
40 am bouts is a lot and he went pro too!
So surely he must have entered the schoolboys/juniors or the London Divs in the seniors.
Who was his pro manager? In your first year as a pro you are obliged to have a manager or you wouldn't get licensed.
What was this career ending injury?

He was the first ever life story. Him and Tris are good mates.

Ben Davidson boxed amateur and was involved in the sport from a toddler due to his father

I saw a podcast with Davison saying he was a footballer, then started football training and when he was 17 went down the local boxing gym and started helping out training there. Never mentioned his father.

Only saw Johnny Nelson 2 days ago at Morrison’s Halfway in Sheffield, only recognised him has he’d gone past and had to stop and look back and think that was Johnny.
