He’s run articles in Boxing News about Kinahan which I’ve seen but I didn’t think (I could be wrong here) that he was one of the guys asking Tyson repeatedly about it during fight week.

I thought all of his BNews articles about Kinahan have been fair.

Fair doesn't even come into it. You could never say it how it is as boxing journo. You either toe the line and end up ringside or do the job properly and end up in the gods.

Years ago , i owned a couple taxis , and the mob i worked for had a contract with a newspaper , i got on well with most of the journalist who used to use us , the newspaper got a discounted rate so most drivers did'nt want the work , i liked it because there was usually waiting time and long journeys involved ,, Anyway a couple of things i noticed about them is

1 ,,,, They all seemed to be heavy drinkers

2 , ,,,,, They all seemed real oddballs , sort of like there often portrayed in the movies

I don't think Tyson has ever denied DK. Just like he never denied his Uncle Peter being a gangster or his dad doing a load of porridge. Holt thrives on it.

Exactly shite article. From what I’ve been told DK basically saved Tyson from heavy depression and got him back to where he is now. At the time the guy had no criminal record and in fairness you take people as you find them. I can see why Tyson thanks him and I can also see why other folk hate him and want him jailed. At the end of the day Tysons just a boxer doing his best in that game, he’s not facilitating crime.

It wasn’t an electric undercard by any stretch , but everyone ringside was looking at their phones, their mates … basically looking everywhere but inside the ring.

I bet you can take multiple still shots of their faces during any undercard bout and you’d get pics of the entire ringside audience looking away from the fight literally 20ft in front of them.

At least proper fight journalists would be there watching it and relaying it all across social media etc. But this has nothing to do with professional sport nowadays- it’s all about money and clout for those around the ring.

Boxing journalists in the UK don’t just seem to be a dying breed, more near extinct! Boxing Monthly was excellent but now is long gone, and you’d have to wonder how long the paper edition of Boxing News will last. Incredibly hard work - I think Claude used to say in was an all-consuming lifestyle keeping the paper on schedule. No wonder he retired in the end. You’d think the promoter would be beyond silly stunts like this by now.

I’m not sure, although that sparring Naz story was class back in the day. Although now I think I think Claude might well be a fitness/lifestyle guru.
