As it stands Dubois is out.

Chisora borderline.

16 votes to keep him in and 16 want him out.

If you count from the top, 16 lands him at #15, but if you count backwards, he's out.

What do we do with him?

It is time to let him go. Lost 4 out of 5 and his sole win is against a 41 year old semi retired boxer that half the forum said should of just retired.
Let him go.
Come on guys in the last 10 years he is 14-11 with 2 notable wins. Takam who is a journeyman himself and former top contender Pulev who is 41 years old.
He has given us years of entertainment but his time is over.

That 41 year old semi retired boxer is ranked #14 and the other three opponents are ranked #1, #2 and #7...

And he lost all but 1 to a 41 year old semi retired fighter who most were calling for his retirement.
You have to actually win some fights to be ranked not just put in an effort.
Sorry but it is time for this warrior to be dropped from the ratings.

Dubois's fate has been decided.

Shall i do a poll on Pulev and Chisora?

If we lose them, then we have 2 vacant spots. Teh fact that no one deserves them at this moment tells me we may as well leave Pulev in and possible Chisora. We need more votes on Chisora.

The division is a bit stagnant for now. No fights locked in for next year yet. I would leave it for now Ruthie :TU:
No sense on making a gap if there is no one to fill it.
Maybe the winner of Ajagba/Rivas next year will be considered to squeak onto the top #15 :maybe:
Other than that, with no one in any fights for thw foreseeable future, all they are doing is getting older.
Lame eh?

Yeh. Mak could come in, but he’s only fighting Wallisch. A wins a win though and he’s built up a decent resume.

Need to still move Chisora somewhere as he ain’t gonna stay at #9.

its not enough to just mention chisora though............which fighters have earned the spots more

realistically, how many fighters have a better recent win than beating pulev for example?

i understand voting out because he;s stale, at the same time i dont think anyone has really done enough to make it an absolute must. it would have to be a guy who's been fighting much worse opposition and hasnt really done much ever

It’s fair to say Chisora is on his way out. Whether that be now or in a few months.

Who’s he gonna fight next?

Is it gonna be a fight we expect him to win or lose. Even if he’s at 15 now,

Mak is fighting next week, he could easily take over.

Chisora Vs Dubois passing of the torch fight would be my pick but I doubt it would happen. Maybe a retirement fight for both Vs Ortiz. Not sure there's any point in others because he's never going to work his way up for a title shot or earn himself a big payday against one of the top 8.

The whole division is so stagnant.
And ages are creeping up.
By 35 none are getting any better.
And yet the guys supposed to be "coming up" are just as stagnant as the top guys. By the time guys like The Eraser, and The Cuban Flash get their shot, they will be shot.

Right we’ve had even more votes now.

Will definitely be closing this today.

Need to start a new thread already on Baby Anderson.

You really don't

Jerry Forrest was a top 40-50 fighter. Anderson is a hyped prospect at the moment, not a top 20 fighter taking on a fellow fringe contender.

Don't forget Pulev beat Forrest very comfortably 9 rounds to 1, two months before taking the Chisora rematch. Forrest's claim to fame before that was getting a draw against a stagnant Hunter, and getting dropped three times on his way to a draw with a guy suffering renal failure two years ago.

Pulev already took what remained of Forrest's ambition six months ago. A prospect beating him now doesn't warrant top 15.

i agree, big baby steps up a bit more in his next fight and wins impressively again, then he's in the discussion, wouldnt put him there yet, even though i have no doubts he could beat some guys we rate. just needs a bit more proving

I’d say baby Anderson resume (accounting for performances) is much better than ottos.

breazeale's the only guy either has beat who was even fringe contender levels, otter also had success vs our #1 guy, hurting him and cutting him more grusomely than most fights that are stopped. no one could've complained if that one was waived. fury has stopped wilder, whyte, and chisora since but couldnt come close vs wally.

big baby hasnt fought anyone in boxrec's top 45 yet, looking really good vs low level opposition only goes so far. for comparison, people wanted chisora out badly, yet he recently beat a guy who clowned baby's best win.

i'd prob pick jalolov too to beat some of the guys on this list. im sure he blasts out D level opponents more impressively than many of them too (he sure did vs soko). if we wanna go that route we could dump a bunch of the vets for less proven but more lively prospects to freshen it up, but we'd need to be able to revote the whole list
