I wish some of these would focus more on the actual boxing career though. Billy Graham comes across as a good guy in this.

I watched it today, the whole money thing with his dad and Billy Graham was weird. To me it sounded like Billy was due a percentage of the purse but Ricky’s dad had transferred money (without Ricky knowing) into another account and Billy was then given a cut of the remaining smaller purse. If what was said is true then maybe his dad was just being sensible and putting money in trust for Ricky’s kids but surely you would need the signature of Ricky to do that and from what Ricky said he was unaware money was moved. Either way it’s a shame it ended up with him falling out with his family and Billy.

Edit. Actually ignore this, just been googling and Billy said he wasn’t paid at all.

Is there anything new in this doc that hasn't been covered already? His story has been well documented many many times before

I don't know if this is true, or if I am misremembering but did his dad not out do a lot of Hatton fans with the tickets to the Mayweather fight ? I remember seeing a few folk pissed off at the time that were previously promised tickets and they weren't

I was ringside for both the Mayweather and PAC fights and the difference between the two was startling. One of these days I will write about it properly.

I can only think Hatton made his dad power of attorney to handle all his finances otherwise Ricky would’ve had to sign for and be aware of these accounts.

Watched this, enjoyed it too, brought back memories too. Billy seems a good guy. Ricky's father, less so.

I worked for Dennis Hobson for loads of shows and him signing Ricky on a contract was amazing ….

I worked on the Maussa fight in Sheffield and then the Urango and Castillo fights in Vegas.

You ask what Ricky was like, I say simply fantastic he was so kind to me as were Rickys dad Ray and Paul Speak his manager.

One surreal moment happened at the Maussa on fight, Ricky said to me “have you and Ginge (my son) eaten” to which I replied no. Ricky then invited me and Ginge to his room and along with a couple of other people we had a great laugh. Ginge was reading the Hatton/Tszyu programne, Ricky took it off him and signed “To my mate Ginge” then he signed it, there were painted montage prints of Rickys previous fights, Ricky did the same there. Ricky also signed a pair of gloves for ginge as well.

When we were in Vegas for the Castillo fight I arrived 5 days before the fight, I spent a lot of time with Ricky … a funny story … we were playing cards … the deck of cards were porn cards Ricky says “watch out lads, Spud has got an ace, look at him he is drooling. I forgot to say Sky were filming us.

Yep, Ricky was very good to me.

Thanks to working for Dennis Hobson on some big shows I went onto to work for David Haye
And also WBSS shows which saw me working
In Russia (Soch & Moscow), Latvia (Riga twice)and Germany. Have worked on shows in Monte Carlo abd all the major cities in the UK.
