That's the thing, Joshua likes the 1-2 and Ngannou is Wide open for that.

What negotiations - the Saudis are throwing money around for fun so any fight can happen.

More likely someone on the promotional side tried to string it out to maximise money and keep the Saudis on the hook.

Fight's do need negotiations, especially one where the loser (most likely by KO) will be null and void in the HW division.
It was lined up for March if they both won. Unfortunately, that didn't happen.

AJ will surely take time to break ngannou down - lots of movement like the ruiz 2 fight .
But the stoppage probably wont come til later in the fight maybe.

Can we make the poll a 5way ? :maybe:

Hard to see FN winning a decision, but then he almost did vs TGK...

Not sure it’s the right fight for now when Joshua has just built a bit of momentum.

After finally having some decent rebuilding fights, this feels like another money grab and potentially a bit of a lose/lose.

Ngannou didn’t do a whole lot vs Fury but he’s a big, tough guy with natural power and very long arms, so can make it awkward.

Can imagine a disappointing fight and the criticism starting again.

So you don't like AJ because you don't like Hearn?
Does seem somewhat reductive. I'm not a big FW fan but do like Joe Joyce.

Then again with FW's matchmaking I'm not sure he likes Joe either.

I don't think it's wise to judge boxers by their promoters. Especially when most end up flipping between them. If anything AJ's loyalty is admirable. (I know people are going to shout Mccracken now)

Does anyone actually like any promotor? I dislike some more than others but I generally have a negative view of all of them.

They're promoters, I don't really have an opinion. I laugh when some people love one promoter and hate another. It's odd. They're all chasing money. It's a business. You won't find morality in a promoter. Unless it's small hall like Jon Pegg or the like.

Joshua is a serious puncher unlike Fury. You can have the best chin but if you can`t avoid big right hands bouncing off your head then sooner rather than later your legs are gonna go.
As some of the better fight analysis showed, Ngannou kept it very simple and didn`t allow Fury any of his advantages - Ngannou was bigger, much stronger and fitter than Fury - Ngannou also being teak tough.
Joshua will be as fit, similar strength .. but much better prepared.

Joshua starts his now typical cautious self and revs it up as he finds landing the big right hand ever more easy. Mid to late stoppage for Joshua.
you are prob right, i agree with most of that except the 'similar strength' part. FN I feel will be much stronger due to all the wrestling.

Joshua will splatter him. I've criticised AJ over the years but at least he's not a bald fat pisshead who treats the sport like a joke. They'll probably be a long dull stand off but at some point, almost certainly in the first half of the fight, Joshua's heavy hands and combination punching will flatten the wrestler in spectacular fashion.

I see it this way too. And then Fury's legacy recedes even further.

That's right. I will just take the money I would have sent DAZN and send it to Don Julio's instead :OhYes: . That's because I never got to see Joshua vs Wilder in their primes.
As far as boxers and promoters go, few are as tight as Hearn and Joshua. I always thought Joshua should have directed Hearn to make the fight.

It's always as simple as that 🪄
You should become a Promoter yourself, such an easy thing to do.

Well we're finally going to have an undisputed champion and it isn't because of Hearn or Joshua. Other than doing the work for Usyk of collecting three of the belts. :OhYes:

This fight is genius from a promoter's point of view - low risk, high reward.

FN deserves another big payday too - not his fault Fury took him lightly/is the worst HW ever..

Fresh off the back of the impressive display against Wallin, you’d expect Joshua to be a sizeable favourite. I dunno though, I think doubts could start to circulate the nearer the fight gets.

I can see Ngannou acquitting himself well again but losing a fair decision. If you’re expecting another Wallin type performance from AJ I think you’ll be disappointed.

Usyk beats Fury.
Fury doesn’t want a rematch as no amount of money allows him to afford anything that he can’t already after two massively over market value Saudi pay days.
Usyk retires.
Joshua probably picks up the IBF.
Zhang elevated to WBO champion.
Parker v someone for WBC.
Bakole v Charisma Vacuum for WBA.
IBO bolted on to one of the above contests.

If AJ doesn't win, it'll make a mockery of boxing.
That's quite a weight to carry on your shoulders.

I thought Fury would smash Nganu to bits, frustrate him, hit him at will and carry him to the second half of the fight before corner or referee stoppage.

While of course Joshua is a far superior boxer, but it’s perfectly possible that he won’t be able to put a dent in Ngannnou, and his appetite for letting his hands go shrinks accordingly, as with Franklin.

AJ should surely be able to ride out any rough patches, although you never know, if he gets clipped high on the head by something, could be another weird night in Saudi.

If AJ hits Ngannou as hard and often as he did Wallin, then he's in big trouble.
