Joshua continues his trashing Fury's legacy tour.
Though Wallin offered next to nowt, I am really not sure AJ will be in regenerated beast mode v Ngannou. Still a banana skin, though FN has obviously lost the element of surprise. His chin looks sturdy in both codes.
I will certainly watch.

I reckon AJ lands the big one fairly early, and batters Ngannou inside 6.

I was shocked Fury got dropped and took a close win on the cards, I thought he would end it whenever he wanted. Il be even more shocked (with AJ being a bigger puncher than Fury) if nganou hears the final bell in this fight.

I honestly thought this was a joke thread, but see Fat Dan is tweeting about the fight. Did not expect this fight at all.

It’s hard to say how many rounds Ngannou will get through against the slightly more cautious than days of old Joshua. But still it shouldn’t really be more than 5 rounds.

2 Fury fans voting and praying for a Ngannou win
Re: AJ vs Nganu Signed - Who Wins? **POLL**
It would be pretty terrible for the popularity of the sport. All the Deanos would instantly switch over to MMA!
Hmm, okay, so every cloud...

Astonished this fight has been made.
It's quite a shrewd move, if AJ spatters him, which I expect him to, then it helps sell a Fury fight, if Fury beats Usyk, which is not exactly an impossibility.
The heavyweight division suddenly looks Wide open.
If Ngannou wins, what then?

Joshua will again look back to his best demolishing Ngannou.
It's a good strategy from Eddie here. Assuming Usyk wins, then by Joshua looking a wrecking-ball against some of Fury's most difficult challengers (who are actually very poor)he leap frogs Fury regarding legacy and also positions himself for the Usyk trilogy .. or more likely position self to pick up vacant titles when Usyk retires.
If Fury wins of course the Joshua fight is hit again.

The sad thing about this fight, yet again in Saudi.
Has these boxers forgot who paid to see them in their infancy?

Ngannou proved that he belonged when he fought Fury. Good feet and a cracking shot. It'll be a good yardstick for AJ. Will he do better than Fury? I say, yes.

Have to say, it's a clever move, if Joshua demolishes Ngannou, or indeed, simply wins without looking like he's shot, he advances his case for future negotiations.tonyevs wrote: ↑06 Jan 2024, 04:59 Joshua will again look back to his best demolishing Ngannou.

It all depends on what happens with Fury v Usyk, Fury may yet win a close one there, he has significant advantages in size and reach, and might win ugly, if he does, then he may well retire, or perhaps cash out with a Joshua fight.
Either way, Joshua, providing the unthinkable happens against Ngannou, emerges as one of the top tier heavyweights.

Joshua looking to right a wrong, defend boxing's honour after the poor show put on by the hairy walking bag of milk.
Re: AJ vs Nganu Signed - Who Wins? **POLL**
For whatever reason, it was Fury who looked awful vs FN not FN looking like a revelation and a saviour of boxing. I really did not see anything from FN that suggested he was any better than his cameos on the pads with Tyson in the build up suggested.
He has a good chin, but powerwise - Joshua is an altogether different proposition to Fury - who didn't exactly approach the fight with the same mindset as he did vs Wilder 2 or 3,
Always thought Joshua does well against unorthodox fighters, it is those who are better schooled than him that will give him problems - so Joshua in basically any round he wants and finally put the FN joke to bed.
