that's exactly what happened if someone thought haye was good enough to pull off results he never managed
not sure why it's so hard to grasp that someone can have a really good career and still fall short of someone's expectations - which may not have been the same as your expectations btw. it's all relative to what someone thought they could/would accomplish, simply saying 'oh but so and so won a title etc' misses the point.

I think it was just Undra White’s hard head and short height that made him awkward. I don’t think he would have beaten Calzaghe but deserved a shot. He was better than Glenn Catley, the other Bristol fighter. So he definitely missed out on lots of title shots.

francis still did pretty well after that i think , english/commonwealth/brit titles. but he got too heavy and some of the spark left him
as for the shoulder incident - clearly francis threw it out with that right hand, white not to blame
