Anybody allowing this to happen, should be prosecuted, it's beyond belief that a 58 year old man would be allowed to take part in a serious boxing match, with someone so much younger.

Even without the risks of taking punches, Mike could have a cardiac arrest just from the exertion, the amount of weed he smokes, his cardiovascular health cannot be too great you would think, and he's like 58.

I had assumed this was going to be an exhibition, if it's not, then it's a fcking disgrace.
To me nothing's a bigger disgrace than an Exhibition that is advertised as Not Being One.

I agree it's a foolish thing for Mike to be taking part in at this point in his life, and career. He has several things that are branded with his name on it so I'd think surely he has money coming in.

Then again, I suppose at any age it's hard to turn down 9 figures to fight a kid that's famous for being a YouTube influencer.
Yes, hard to resist 20 million dollars plus, this could potentially do serious numbers.
As absurd as it is to think about for real Boxing fans, this is probably gonna be one of the most watched fights of all time.

If you watch Tyson in training he is like a machine. The issue with this fight is why hurt anyone? When you have a mega star like Tyson and a multi millionaire who is making a shit load of money with Prime, you have to question yourself who is thinking that this fight is going to be slaughterfest? YouTube casuals that who.

Marketed correctly this fight is going to make millions for both guys, so why hurt anyone?

The only training video I've seen published is a re-run from 4 years ago when he was preparing for the Jones exhibition. He didn't look like a machine then and he didn't look like a machine in the ring with Jones either.

Keep in mind that he was ko'd by a journeyman almost 20 years ago. The man is done. I can't believe all the social media comments on how he's going to kill Jake Paul. Are people unable to understand that he'll be 58 years old this summer?

I took it you were impressed by old man Mike in training? I agree with the rest of your post, it'll most likely be a glorified sparring session. But if it's a real fight Mike will have his ass handed to him.

I’d imagine there’s hardly a fast twitch muscle fibre left in Tyson’s body. He was hitting ancient chinny Jones and he wasn’t even blinking really. Absolutely nothing left.

To be fair if it was a real fight I think Tyson would have a chance in the first couple of minutes.

That would be a very slim chance imo. They say punching power is the last thing to go, but at 58 years old I'm pretty sure most of the power is long gone too.

Agreed, however Tyson isn't fighting a genuine boxer is he. I'm sure if Tyson even at his age hit me square on I'd be in a bad state.

But he is fighting a genuine boxer. Jake Paul isn't some future champion in the making or even very good, but like him or not (and I don't) he is a legit boxer by now.
Thinking Tyson would beat Paul is like thinking a 58 year old Usain Bolt would beat a mid level college sprinter.

Of course Tyson could clock Paul in the first round and everyone gets to say I told you so, but I think it's unlikely.

Looking at the training footage, Tysons explosive power is greatly diminished.

Every mike Tyson training vid I see is litraly 6 or 7 1.5 second clips stitched together. He can dip and swing fairly hard and fast still, but judging by the footage I have seen he won’t be able to maintain that for fury for even a minute…

To repeat myself once again, “mikes prime was over 30 years ago And mike was legitamently shit 20 years ago.”

I can understand how casuals can ignore the first part of that cause obviously he doesn’t have to be 1989 mike to smash Paul to bits… but it’s hard to ignore the second part where mike was not near world levle 20 years ago… it’s like they accept he faded dramatically from 33-37 but are running the assumption that he won’t fade much from 37-57 …

Easy win for Paul. Tyson only got a 90 second window from the opening bell to beat Paul

Would be nice if he could get back the same 90 seconds he had against Spinks

But not taking the fight seriously anyway. It's a big money farce

Yeah, people getting a boner over 5 second clips of Tyson 'looking like a beast' - they're forgetting he was gassed after 2 rounds 20 years ago, and has smoked more trees than a brazilian rancher during that period.

If this actually is going to be a real fight there may be some interesting odds come fight time. Kinda like when people thought McGregor could beat Mayweather.

The Tyson vs Jones fight was 8 x 2 minute rounds with 12oz gloves, be interesting to see what it is for this.

Even if this is an official fight (which it won't be) it will still be a fight in which they will not hurt each other.

I think this is the thing. How can one place a fair bet hoping that it is a fair genuine fight? You wouldn't get any decent odds anyway.

If genuine it will be something like 4x3 possibly 6x3.

What odds can one expect for round win or outcome.

The only winners will be the 2 boxers. And some dodgy blokes in the background who have been instrumental in the outcome

Lots of big overhand bolo punches .whip in the big slaps to the body dont set a fast pace .backoff if u think you caught the other guy its easy to make it look good . Collect there money and enjoy . It will not fool proper boxing people but its not aimed at them
