That’s good to see & how it should be.Wales wrote: ↑14 Oct 2024, 05:55 Interestingly ALL 3 judges ringside agreed on 10 of the 12 rounds with the judges only disagreeing on two of the rounds … 4 and 7 . In both 4 and 7 2 of the 3 judges gave it to Bertebiev. So when singling out one judge need to consider he saw every round the same as the majority of the 3 ringside

That’s a good point. If I’m scoring I’ll make a note at the side that it was close so that if for example I score it 115-113 to fighter A & I’ve marked two close rounds that I’ve given to fighter A then I can’t be claiming a robbery if fighter B gets it 115-113.J-C wrote: ↑14 Oct 2024, 02:35Yep, I think that’s one of the things that never gets spoken about enough.
A lot of us scoring at home might give a close round to one fighter because we gave the last close round to the other. But, as I understand it, the judges are supposed to score each round as if it were a one round fight.
You’re right the 116-112 card gave all the close rounds to Beterbiev but I think there was only round 4 that he gave to Beterbiev without at least on of the others scoring for AB too.
Bro - I thought Bivol won. But I had Beterbiev winning.Controversial wrote: ↑15 Oct 2024, 17:26 Watching it live I thought Bivol won. Just watched and scored and it was a lot closer than I thought. I actually had Beterbiev winning 115-114 but can see how someone else can score a round the other way so could easily be a draw or a Bivol win.
Just proves the general point though, doesn't it. You can definitely watch a fight and 'feel' someone has one it, but scoring round by round is totally different.JamesPhilips wrote: ↑15 Oct 2024, 17:42Bro - I thought Bivol won. I think the best solution is wider scoring options. Like the 10 point must sytem is simplisticBoxerbeetle wrote: ↑15 Oct 2024, 19:09Just proves the general point though, doesn't it. Maybe boxing should just scrap RBR scoring entirely? Must be better ways of doing it![]()
