I remember the Cornish 1st round KO against AJ, bless him, he did come back to challenge for the British title and went out on a win too, think he had to retire due to injury. I wonder what he's doing now? I always liked him as he always worked full time as well as boxing, always respect that as it must be 3 x as hard to juggle boxing with work.

He won 3 then lost on points against Sam Sexton for the British title. Then won his next fight first round KO and then retired.

The commentary from Carpenter on the Bruno v Chuck fight was outstanding

He said that Gardner had taken 30 hours to get there from the states and arrived exhausted

Then he said "his official age is 33, he admits to being 35 but a lot of people will tell you he's even older" and followed this by saying "he looks ancient, what little hair he does have is grey"

Thing is, Chuck would have been a youngster compared to the current crop of heavyweights
