This fight was not a robbery, it was a close fight.

I had it 116 - 112 to Usyk, but wouldn't quibble with it either way, because some of the rounds were so tight.

I don't think it was close. Usyk catches shots on the arms that there is a temptation for people to see as good work from his opponent. They aren't scoring shots, simple as that. British commentary was awful too.

116-112 for me.

I don't think there is any value in giving FW and Co oxygen for their spurious complaints. Let's move on.

Sky Sports put out there usual 3 minute highlight video on YouTube,.

Absolutely shocking!

They've literally just focused on Fury.,

Maybe watch them even rounds back. I know sometimes it's hard to split. :TU:

Have watched it back with no Comms still got 2 even could maybe give 11th to Fury if I had to give someone it so would 117-114 Fury but feel like my original card was more accurate

In the majority of rounds, Usyk landed more punches and avoided more, so what are you seeing that I'm not? :maybe:

I do feel a lot of people were more swayed by Fury’s approach compared to the first fight. But then forget that Usyk did what he did as well to negate that. He said the rematch was easier than the first too,

I watched it back and scored 115-113 Usyk and this seemed a little harsh on him.
The "overrall impression" was Usyk adapting, having answers, coming back when he went behind, pushing it when he went ahead..

Close fights are tough to score and often it's "what you like" or what mood you're in. Plus, watching it back you got the rewind to "check" - it's suprising how often both guys throw and you think one landed, when slo-mo proves you wrong and it was the opposite.

You could easily score, say, 115-114 Fury or therabouts and not be an idiot, so I thought they probably would.
Especially after the scandalous fix for Bosh!
Glad they didn't tho - I think they got the right winner

I hate that argument. Ring generalship is important although in this case I had Usyk taking that, too.

7 rounds to 5

Although watched in a pub with no always great view. I had it 4-1 fury after 5. But only gave fury one round after round 5 (can’t remember which one).

Will need to watch again when it’s available for free, but I thought my card was the best it could be for Fury. Really cannot see how Fury won a second round after round 6 and some of the rounds I gave to Fury in the 2,3,4 and 5 were not massive fury rounds. Usyk won his rounds clearer in my opinion and definitely deserved the match over twelve rounds

When it was Usyk making him miss more? The stats prove that.
Fury said he was on the front foot all fight. Not even nearly true. There was plenty of times where Usyk took center ring and was coming at Fury too. Fury did have success when he did control the ring and was on the front foot though. But he couldn't keep it up because when Usyk was even slightly hurt, he came back and threw back at Fury.

I do think more credit needs to go to Usyk for his performance and how he adjusted.

I thought round 1 was the most difficult to score; I gave it to Fury but was on the fence in doing so. My 114-114 card would have been 115-114 Usyk had I gone 10-10 in round 1 but I don't score even rounds because that's discouraged nowadays. Years ago, in some jurisdictions, if a bout ended in a draw the ref would choose a winner. Using that system, I'd choose Usyk Because I thought he won the rounds I gave him more clearly than Fury won the six I gave to him.

I agree, he was masterful in there on Saturday night. Fury wasn't.

Scored it today, seemed closer watching it back but I had Usyk 116-114. Some rounds were hard to split so I can see how the scores could be wider.

I see a lot of arm shots from Usyk which strictly speaking shouldn’t score.

Jesus, if that's your verdict on Usyk, I'd love to know what you thought of Fury's pawing and flicks - bar an odd couple of Fury uppercuts and right-handers, Usyk's work was far cleaner and thrown with way more conviction throughout the bout - you could see Fury's head frequently getting jolted backwards, while Usyk's body work was also thudding home frequently. Not even comparable in their quality of work, let alone output.

I'm gonna watch it again , But my take was simply Usyk cleaner , better defence , and just basicly landed more , BUT all through the fight i was getting frustrated watching Tyson going so close and i felt a bit more , stuff it i'm gonna put it on him attitude would of forced Usyk back and made it closer if not in Tysons favor ,

Had it 5-5 going into round 11 and then thought Usyk won the last 2.

It felt like Fury was nicking his rounds whereas Usyk was winning his comfortably.

yeah I agree, but i think we all assume that cos he stepped up from cruiser that its easy to "put it on" Usyk. He just refuses to be bullied.

True , he does seem to have a great mindset , But at this time i can't see anyone beating him with skills , he just has the footwork ,the skills , the speed , the everything needed to beat big lumbering guys , the only way your gonna beat him is to outbrawl out wrestle and out spoil him while putting pressure on , his ONLY weaknesses up to now has been if he's under pressure , and has he constantly shows , thats very hard too do , thats i suppose why he's who he is and has the record he has . At the moment the only one , i can see beating him is FATHER TIME

I could see him being stopped by a thunderous heavyweight body shot. but applied by the tactics you suggest.
