Same….
I think it's too hard to commit a call.
Only because there is a version of Dave Allen that sometimes shows up to really fight, if we get that one, Fisher is probably getting stopped. The bad cards from the first fight might be enough to bring out that version, but who knows?
Dave might just capitulate.

I don't think I can endure ten weeks (and at least ten pages) of people discussing Dave Allen's career again.

I hoped we'd seen the last of him after the Clarke debacle but turning in a half decent performance against a novice rugby player and the Dave Allen show starts anew.
It only got officially announced few days ago. Don’t worry. Comments will slowly fizzle until fight week.

I don’t quite get the Dave Allen hate. Other than the darch farce (which I don’t know what happened but at the time felt very fishy)…

He is an english level (better on his day worse when he is off) heavyweight that has had a crack vs some pretty top guys, provided them with rounds when many others couldn’t and for the most part, lost.

He isn’t always in shape, but can I blame him? I haven’t been to the gym in 4 months…

It’s not like there are a long list of people who can replace him for providing rounds… it’s him, soko, dobvechenko, wach, leutele.l , (few others obviously) not many tough as nails guys willing to take tough fights and last rounds… and nearly non of them that can at least throw something back.

But he has to show something new to do that.
I think that Allen won't be as good this time. He LOVES being written off, the underdog. Every time he has the spotlight more on him he implodes.

I just have a feeling we'll see a tamer effort from Dave.

Was he good? Or did he just land.

I think he will be about the same… but if he dosent hurt Jonny it’s a bad time for him, if. Does it could be a good time.

Weather your hurt someone or not has “how good you are on the night” in it, but it also has a lot of luck in it.

The bookies didn't pay out on Allen r3 because of suspicious betting patterns, everyone will have their opinion on it, but imo it was fixed, and shame on them both.

I hope Dave Allen comes in under 248lbs. He’s got plenty of time and I’d imagine will be starting from a much lower body weight than when he started his camp for the first fight.

I am a big fan of Allen but he is spending a lot of the camp losing weight, could have held his weight better pre-camp. He does have Kerry Kayes on board though which is a plus.

Ha, yeah.
But he does have contacts in the industry and sometimes has the information others don't. If it weren't for that...

You seem in and around that world? How heavy do you think he got?

Crazy to balloon up when you know you got a chance coming (even if it wasn’t Johnny that performance had earnt him a decent fight) but I guess some people just gain weight if they aren’t training like crazy.

If I were Dave I would have pretended to be unmotivated 300lb and hardly training and waiting for a contract…. But stayed fit.

Hi Greg, I do not know the boxing world much. I know Kerry via bodybuilding, when he owned CNP and was a big player in UK bodybuilding with the EFBB/UKBFF, hence mentioning he will be well guided if he listens to him for nutrition. Most boxing people know Kerry as Hatton's old nutrionist and more recently as a cutsman, but Kerry was one of the leading lights in transforming bodybuilding nutrition and the domestic scene in the 90s and noughties when he was working with Dorian Yates. I will not go into it here but he was a HEAVY character and has helped people close to me - he loves boxing, has about triple digit millions and does not need to be involved in boxing and does not charge a bean for anyone he works with.

I am local to Dave though, and know people he knows well. He gets up too 22 stone which is way too heavy for a 6ft 3 endomorph. I hope he has been training and he really just does need to weight cut, if it just that and he does exactly what Kerry says he will be a good weight - but I am not sure at all that Dave will ever consistently follow advice. He seems weak minded in this regard.

I’m not an endomorph I’m a mesomorph I break all records for muscle mass wherever I get tested haha just 15 years of donuts and fizzy pop got me looking like shit but I was a very good athlete in my younger days and that and being tough and experienced gets me by, I will look like shit on the scales for the rematch but it won’t stop me winning it
