hes won his last 2 in distance fights...whats to say hes ready to roll over in 1 round

lets wait and see

admittedly he should be fighting brits....but thats not realistic

Say what you want about Gomez as an opponent, but Khan - Gomez was an adrenalin rush of a fight to wathc.

I loved it. I want entertaining when watching a fight and that was entertainment.

In fairness Khan does guarantee entertainment and I bet Gainer will be another good one for the TV

A 10 fight Alex Povetkin was matched with & beat Larry Donald.

Some prospects who are the goods do get moved ambitiously.

Yeah not necessarily saying it would be right for Amir -- although Tyson at 19 after 1 year as a pro was mixing it up with Jesse Ferguson, dangerous matchup.

thas so true, khan is defo still a hit with the grannies even if he isnt with the boxrec folk

thats it isnt it..khan stated off from the beginning being the tv main event but on the undercard of genuine top main events in the arenas.

Well i must say this is a step backwards. Atleast in the other fighters he was progressing in different ways, this seems as if he was the only possibility.

Also i would not Slate Khan for this, It is FW making the decisions, not Khan..

gainer is the most experienced by far...he hasnt started to roll over yet.

and its looking increasingly obvious that Khans defence is leaky to say the least

so its all good family entertainment on a sat night

Gainer has competed at the top level. Khan has not and arguably never will.

I'm in no way defending sports network here, just trying to weigh up the chances of Mr Vulnerable's train wreck arriving sooner than expected, for betting reasons.

So apart from all the s**t that you people all talk, can anyone who has seen his recent fights do something useful and tell me how much Gainer has left and how he has looked?

Sports Network are going about all this entirely the wrong way. I understand them feeding him smaller men and then weening him into more natural at the weight opposition. I thought he was making excellent progress when he beat Earl and Kristjansen, and beat them well. However, it seems that he's being weened onto smaller men and when he's in trouble he can always rely on his massive weight advantage to get him out of trouble. It all means that once Khan is in with a bigger, more natural lightweights who Khan won't be able to push back as easily then he's going to get beat because he won't have a plan B. I mean look at this photo and the size difference - it's ridiculously sick. And the worst part is, I expect that Gainer's best/most natural weight will be even smaller than Gomez.

He'd be dead if he were that - I heard him say it but he surely must've been mistaken.

He was 1% body fat on his chin.

I should have been more clear. I meant the Gainer of now in his 6th fight. Old, innactive and far too slow for the fight to really be competetive.

still no oppo & tv deal named

ive got a feeling Khan is going to get injured in the next week and pull out

Sky did say they have new contracts to annouce soon its a month away it be on tv

Don't know how reliable this source is, but it states SN (and AK) are going to Sky. An 11-fight deal, with 5 of them PPV!!

Who in their right mind is going to pay and watch Khan knocking out featherweights on a ppv event?

This could all fall flat on it's arse if SKY push for decent matches.

Khan is a real hype job in my opinion, which is a shame, because more of a steady build up, and a lot less hype would have resulted in him being a lot better fighter than he is today.
