I gave it to Froch by 2. I know some people on here were questioning Pascal's chin abit. After the fight do you think Pascal has a good chin or is Carl's power somewhat overated?

I think they both have decent power, terrible defences and granite chins.

I've been scratching my head about this one.

I was there to see it live & the punches that Froch connected with early were BIG punches, but Pascal took them like he was the 2nd coming of Jake LaMotta!

Pascal has been wobbled prior to this by supposed lesser punchers than Froch, yet Froch's punches just bounced off him (Carl even injured his hand punching Pascal's head ).

9 rounds to 3 IMO, 117-111

I scored it to Froch by 1 (maybe two, was slightly distracted by some ladies with not much on who kept walking in front of the screen in the bar I was watching it in).

Thought the judges scores were way off and pretty tough on Pascal.

Although I thought it was a great fight and Froch did well, I can't get too carried away by him as I think if he was eating that many right hands against someone like Taylor or Kessler he'd be in whole lot of trouble!!!

Hopefully going to be an exciting few years for Carl, but I can't see him cleaning up the division, I reckon he'll probably lose as many as he wins against the top guys in the weight and I'd pick JC over him everday of the week!

i was one of those doubters but i think you have to give Pascal credit......if you disregard this fight, and try and make an assessment based on their previous fights....there is more evidence to support the argument that Froch is a big puncher than there is that says Pascal is chinny......

Pascal has been hurt before, but maybe the difference was simply that this time, in the biggest fight of his life, he was in a lot better shape

Safe to say that Froch punches hard, and Pascal definitely has a good chin.

I scored it 117-112 to Froch, but had it even at the half-way point. I think 115-113 would be too close, and 118-110 too wide (the former giving all the close rounds to Pascal, the latter giving all the close rounds to Froch).


Pascal just ran out of ideas in the second half of the fight, with Froch coming on strongly.
