Are you having a joke? Harrison cannot punch for shit. He really cant. He is a joke, a big time joke and I said so from the get go.

I visited his camp for his debut in a place called Hustyns in Cornwall and saw enough to know he had nothing. I had letters printed in boxing news deriding him, pat sheehan from the Sun stole an article I wrote once to put him down, I put post after post on the doghouse about him. Total joke.

He has no heart, no stamina, his punch is weak and to be honest his skills, which people think are good are total garbage. He only looks "ok" skillwise because he fought sub par opponents. I would look like Ali, bolo punching, floating, flicking jabs, punching in bunches etc if i walked into the local school playground and picked on a bunch of 12 year olds.

And his power is pathetic. He fought lower, very lower tier guys and was hardly smashing them around the ring now was he??

to be honest with you i think even david has a better chin that danny, danny's been in too many wars, they've took their toll now and he gets hurt way too easily now. danny has been hurt now in near enough every fight since the mike tyson fight, and then obviously he was beaten up by big sam aswell before that.

He managed to break Rob Calloway's jaw so his power can't be terrible.

Furthermore, jaw breaks, big deal, a punch to the jaw can break it. You wouldnt be able to break it with a little tap but any haf decent punch could break a jaw. If I connected right I could probably break his jaw too and I am only 12st

Oh and elaborate? Sure. He fought fighters from the lower reaches of the heavyweight division and was struggling to put them away. He was catching them with full blooded shots and not causing much damage by and large. His record of 16 or 17 KO's, whatever it is is very deceiving. Who did he knock out and show power against who was not already proven to know how to fall over or subsequently prove that maybe they do not exactly have much in the way of "cast iron" chinwise?

He pushed his punches rather than snapped them, he did not turn his fist over into the shot and the simple proof is that he was fighting real cannon fodder and they were hardly being bounced off the floor now were they?

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you that he is not a puncher and it has got worse since he refuses to commit himself to the punch, but Haye looks chinny himself(Twite, Thompson, Mock) and I still feel that he hits hard enough to take out David if he could connect properly.
As I have already said I would make Haye a hot favourite, but you could construct a case for Harrison pulling off an upset

haye is chinny, but he's not as chinny as danny williams now.

at the end of the day audley will need to commit to even land the punch to knock haye out, and lets be honest now audley just goes into his shell when someone even puts a little bit of pressure on him.

You can put together an opinion for anyone with two fists winning a fight. Anything is possible. Harrison is a total wank, my opinion and a strong one.

I will tell you why I have such a hatred for him. When he won gold there was a lot of articles about him, with him talking about how tough he was, came from a tough area, fought for everything his whole life blah. Well he is actually from the same neighbourhood as me, the very nice Northwood/Northwood Hills/Pinner area. Anyone familiar with it would not confuse it with the damn Bronx. So at that point I realised he was a lying wannabe attempting to be something he wasn't.

Then as luck would have it, for his professional debut he came to Cornwall (where I now live) to train, at a plush leisure complex called Hustyns. Look it up yourself on google. I live in Cornwall and have actually boxed in Hustyns once (in front of Michael Watson and Frank Maloney woooo lol ) and so drove over there to have a little look.

Well he was staying in a very comfy bungalow on a slightly seperate piece of land with a gym attached across the yard. The gym was shiney and posh, clean and sterile and when i saw him, he was being pampered by a masseause, with some assistant running around while Colin McMillan and some other guy was outside with black mercedes if i recall correctly yabbering on their phones. He had, so I was told by someone who works there, a masseause as said, a chef, cleaner, publicist, manager, promoter and agent there!!!

I was thinking, "what the hell???" Why wasn't he traipsing across London, going from sweaty gym to sweaty gym learning and sparring and building some mental toughness? Sure, if you are an experienced pro, go off to camp as you just need to get fit, polish a few things up, spar, work on strategy and get your timing up. BUT he was not experienced. Pampered and stupid and not willing to learn or do things the proper and hard way. And let me tell you, boxing you HAVE to learn the hard way because it is a shitty, hard and tough sport.

From then it was clear to me that this man would not learn anything (look at James Toney, B Hop, how they have been around learning and soaking it up) and did not have the mental fortitude to achieve in the professional game.

Anyway I 100% agree with you for the reasons he failed, being a star and having money was far more important, he thought after winning gold the pro game was the easy bit and he never did apply himself properly.

However your obvious hatred seems to be distorting some realities.
Haye needs a fight, this is a fight that will sell, Harrison has physical similarties to the Klits and will try to box and range and then tie Haye up. These will be the tactics the Klits will use to and it will be good practice for David.
If Audley gets blasted out which is a very realistic scenario the haters will be chuffed and if Aud makes a real go of it, it would be a good learning fight.
Remember Haye's chin is not made of granite and he does leave himself open so no heavyweight fight is a foregone conclusion for him. And there are a lot worse fighters than A-Force about

Harrison is simply desperate. Warren has lost interest in him and so have most of the public. Haye is in another class so why would he bother with AH who isnt even at British level. Beating Harrison would give him no more credibilty than he already has. Totally pointless fight in my opinion and I am pretty sure Haye wont bite. So haye can't get the Klitschko fight and calls up Harrison, an old friend of his and says "do you fancy being my warm up fight, if you win you have credibility if you lose at least you go out with a big pay day which post Rogan is pretty unlikely and I get a former olympic champion, some experiance with a guy who's a huge HW in the klitschko mold and a lot of publicity from people who only watch the Olympic boxing." So they agree they will come up with some spuriouse reson to hype the fight... if only they could have done better than a P diddy party.

This fight will happen it'll sell a lot of tickets in London and it'll probably be interesting, harrison has only been KOed once and that was to a very good punch and it will be haye's second (well third) fight at heavy weight so he's still an unknwn comodity.

In summery this is all hype to justify the fight but I still think it has merrit.

In 2007 my brother attempted, unsuccessfully, to win the British title against Kevin Anderson. He was out-gunned, conceding years of experience and he didn't get paid a fortune either. What he did have was an iron will and a burning desire to become the British champion. It wasn't quite enough in the end unfortunately, and Mr Loughlin stepped in with 57 seconds to go.

It will be box office. No doubt. This thread is four pages in, albeit with a lot of negative opinion, but that shows it's a talking point. You can multiply that interest among the casual fan who will buy into Audley's name value and the "personal" angle. And Harrison has that "villain" thing going on, where people will pay to see him get beaten.

Style-wise, Audley is a good match for Haye. A Klitschko-sized opponent with the classical amateur/European technique. Of course he's not on the Klitschko's level but simply fighting someone of this description will be good prep for Haye.

If Haye isn't getting a Klitschko this summer, then he has to fight somebody. Fighting Audley will guarantee good money and while it may not increase his standing, not many opponents will at this stage. He just needs to keep busy, so why not go for the most marketable option, as well as one that just happens to be a good learning fight for him.

And Josh, I thought the same thing - this whole "personal" story may be something they've concocted between themselves. If so, that means it will definitely happen.

Oh, and from Audley's point of view, it's shit or bust. If he loses, so what? Everybody expects him to and he won't be any worse off if he does. But if he wins, then suddenly he's done the impossible and resurrected his career. It sure beats becoming an opponent for the next generation, or outpointing Luke Simpkin and friends in undercard six-rounders.
