The Macklin match up is a disgrace. The EBU need to take a long hard look at themselves sanctioning this. Jomardashvili is barely a club fighter. I saw his fight against Kodzoev and he was awful, all action bully for about 3 minutes and then just got ground down. Lost to Murray too. If you look at his record he's effectively got about 25 gym fights on there. Georgia have been pulling that move for long enough now. Needs to be stamped out.

i think after the big name opponent pulled out, it's best to save macklin for another night, and let him have an impressive KO tonight rather than someone he won't have had time to research who can make him look bad.

promoter obviously still wanted it to be a title fight and that was the prority.

Exactly. It's the same with every denomination in life, you have the good, the bad, and the inbetweeners. The inbetweeners represent the majority but go unnoticed due to the attention garnered by either the bad or the good.
