It was basically a boxing show in front of a mainly football crowd. Up in the stands, every permutation of leeds united chants rang out all night, well those, and quite a few anti-man united chants too. Plenty of "fxxk" the mexican malarky too. During bouts, there were the "stand up if you hate man united" ditties, with most folk obliging. Understandable given the setting but a bit tiresome by the end, particularly when the cheer leaders would stand with their back to the ring to orchestrate these things whilst there was actually boxing going on in the ring behind them. Bellew was targeted with "scouse fat baxxard" chants too. Bridges was definitely very popular with the crowd, you'd be forgiven for thinking she was a leeds lass if you didn't know any different.

Ayling looked a proper c*nt along with the older bloke with specs, in Warrington's corner:
as if the game isn't hard enough and this clown is calling out Lara's heart.

Obviously the player gets praise in certain quarters in cyberland for his idiocy.

The running order on Hearn’s cards are terrible & have been for a long time. Too many good fights happen at 7 or 8pm & then you get shit women’s fights or Campbell Hatton before the main event.

I end up missing or not getting to watch good fights & then been bored to tears before the main event.

You could tell the Leeds fans weren’t interested in the Taylor fight one bit. I’m yet to meet anyone who cares about women’s boxing. I had to laugh when Hearn mentioned doing a women’s PPV card on Sky a bit back. They wouldn’t have sold 10,000.

He has for years. On Saturday night he spoke of unifications in the States. He forgot that they'd quit the belt to avoid the mandatory.

I wanna see Lara move on. Watching the fight back, seeing Warrington’s team question Lara’s heart was hard to take. It was a 3 inch cut caused by a butt in round 2 with everyone, including Steve Gray against him.
Team Warrington should be sucking Lara’s balls hoping for that 3rd fight. Warrington has had some tremendous wins but his career would be defined by his loss. He needs Lara a lot.

Didn't see many mexicans in the crowd so the conundrum is making the shows finances balance the books, if I were Josh I'd be thinking, well I bring in these paying fans, nobody tunes in to watch Lara, so I don't want to take the short end of the wedge. I'll be interested to see if the Dillion Whyte show, on DAZN, is part of the subscription, or if it is gonna involve some sort of PPV charge. I was in the south stand, with my back to the wall. Great seat for forty quid to be fair. Hardly a spare seat around where I was.

The crowd were, as I said in an earlier post, mainly Leeds United fans. Most were up and ready to go the moment the fight ended. I was one of them, for a change, as my girlfriend was due to come over to mine once I got home and I could guess it would be a technical draw.

I got there for about 6.40 and was miffed I'd missed Bateson. Will catch it on Dazn replay this week.

Personally, I loved the whole show, it was a cheap ticket, but a much better view than when I saw Brook vs Spence down the road in Sheffield. I don't have an issue with the womens boxing, it is what it is. Was chuffed Hughes won, from the stands it was hard to appreciate his work, it seemed closer. I think the crowd interest faded a bit when Conor didn't flatten Granados and it was heading to points. Overall the crowd seemed enthusiastic, you know what you are in for at a Josh Warrington hometown fight but personally I could have done with a few less pissed up Leeds United fans chanting through the evening. At the risk of sounding like Spock, Man United are just in a different dimension entirely to Leeds, so to spend all night chanting bile against a superior team when drunk seems a bit pointless really. Overcompensating for how uncomfortable reality is I guess (and I'm hardly a Man United fan). Bridges was well over with the crowd but there was a gap in the boxing so whoever got in the ring at 7pm when it resumed was going to go down well.

Perhaps not for the next fight but DAZN have shows in Mexico and USA. He's highly ranked and he's battered Warrington once. He may be better off getting on with his career then risking getting stiffed over here again.

Don't think that Galahad fight will happen, Galahad probably better trying for unification in America and he can win them.

Often this is demonstrated most in defeat and he showed that in spades, proper example of going out on your shield, gotta respect him for that.

Yes he does. Wel until the last fight when they lined his head up to headbutt Lara consistently…… I don’t think they wanted the technical draw, but they definitely wanted him to use the head and bust up the Mexican and totally disrupt his game plan. Holyfield style. But even worse.
