I really want Yarde to win. I'm not letting my heart rule my head though I fully expect Kovalev to stop him. I would love to be proved wrong though

I still can't decide which way I'm going on this. I do know however that I've started prancing round my flat exclaiming 'Lions in the Camp!' while doing that sort of half jog-half hot shoe shuffle that fighters do when proceeding to the ring, in my dressing gown.

Yarde's chin is totally untested, most of his opponents were cherry picked feather fisted guys...also, not saying that his power isn't legit, he punches hard, but he couldn't knock out the best opponents he faced (he stopped Sęk and Sjekloća stading, Averlant retired after 7th round):

He's going to get flattened,there's a reason why they have ducked fighting anyone with a pulse and it's because they know he isn't good enough.
Fair play to them though they're getting brewsters for tonights fight and that clearly was always the plan to begin with.

Even by allegedly's cautious standards Yarde always struck me as a particularly protected fighter. For added insurance Sjekloca was 39, Reeves was 38 and Averlant a week shy of his 34th birthday when they fought Yarde. Much too much of a step up from these to facing Kovalev imo.

Lets face it, if it was some unknown Lithuanian called Gediminas Matulevicius or Hungarian called Csaba Dzsudzsak with the same record, 99% of fans would call it a mismatch and would give 0 chances to the challenger. But Yarde is British and most of fans on here are biased due to that, i understand it, this sometimes happen to me as well when my compatriot is given the chance.

Yeah they were also old, nothing more than past Prime euro Journeyman... In his next fight Dariusz Sęk got destroyed by Robert Parzęczewski in 2 and Tony Averlant by Joshua Buatsi in 1

Well I’d say there’s always intrigue when a great champion is taking on an undefeated knockout puncher.
90% of the flights we get every week everyone knows the result beforehand.
Despite most being very sure of a Russian victory, the bookies have it closer than the fans it would seem.
To avoid looking stupid the sensible prediction is to say the Russian is going to win, because there’s always a chance the Londoner could get blitzed early or outclassed.
Logic dictates that the sensible pick - yet there’s plenty of unknowns and intangibles on this one, which makes it a can’t miss fight.
Yarde doesn’t appear to know he should get beaten tonight - it’s gonna be edge of your seat when the first bell rings.

Is being built like a bodybuilder a good look at super middle and light heavy? Byrant Brannon against Roy Jones was one fairly painful lesson. Yarde will just end up looking like a sitting duck in this one.
