The World Boxing Organization has officially ordered a light heavyweight contest between WBO world champion Sergey Kovalev and undefeated top challenger Anthony Yarde.
The sanctioning body advised the parties that they have thirty (30) days to negotiate and reach an agreement. If an agreement is not reached within the time frame set, a purse bid will be ordered pursuant with the WBO Regulations of World Championship Contests.
The minimum acceptable bid for the WBO light heavyweight title fight is $300,000.00. Any of the parties involved may request a purse bid procedure at any time during the negotiation process.

I believe that negotiations will not pan out, Warren will not bid high and Yarde will withdraw citing not enough money.
ESPN/TR have the money, they will always bid more that FW anyway.. they should look to get the fight in the UK imo.
I can see a pull out though. It’ll be his highest career purse by a mile though. Why turn that down. If he loses, he can say he’s still green and actually start rebuilding properly.
Yarde is jumping several levels, but he might be catching Krusher at the right time.
I fancy Yarde might just about be ready for a creaking Kovalev, but Bivol and Beterbiev ?
No way.
I’m not totally convinced he’s the best LHW in the UK yet.
And THIS is the reason we wanted him in the British titke scene these last two years. clearing out Bugs, Burton, Ajisafe, Johnson and Buatsi - is s much better Finishing School than WBA interim International Super-European Silver titles he’s been ‘winning’
Is it guaranteed Fwank is gonna accept it ? Not like him to let his meal tickets off the leash until they’re the finished article.

He must earn big if he is going to cash out.
If He is as good as FW says he his, it's only fair on the lad to ease him in a bit, this is getting thrown to the lions time!
When Brits have pulled off big upsets, Honeyghan, Stracey etc the Brits have been experienced amateurs and genuinely done something in the pros beforehand.
I can't see FW taking it.
thing is yardes side has been saying there above domestic level and highly world rated and just waiting for a shot etc...so if they turn this down it kinda looks a bitch move after saying this was basically what theyd been waiting for

Wel he looks to be matching Gorman and Dubois this year..

kov is still better then crude open unproven bert
Artur beat Kov twice in the ams. AND it always felt like Kov wanted no part of a pro rematch. If they fought next Beterbiev would be the (slight) betting favourite.

Yes, but only after he’s milked them for 18months, there’s nowhere else got them to go AND it’s still early enough in their careers that a loss won’t set them back too much.
Fans don’t like it but Allegedly is a master of his craft..
He is at least 5 fights away from being ready. He should step up and face someone like Johnson, then eventually Badou Jack before challenging for a title

am are the ams and it was like a 25-24 decision,, matt korobov beat kov too by a wider margin
and where did that feeling come from? beterbiev was offered a career high payday plus russian tv money to fight kov (confirmed) and turned it down. kov has been the one fighting good opposition not bert. bert fought trash mainly and said joe smith was too tough for him to take soon after the johnson fight
bert is a crude open slugger and has been put down multiple times himself. difference is that hes been fighting at a way lower level then kov has. i mean its feasible that he could ko kov, he does have power, but i see him as an overall lesser fighter and not in the same class as bivol or gvo either. its important to note to that although kov went 1-1 with alvarez he won probably like 15 of the 18 rounds they completed.

think we on this forum pay too much to attention on ams records - Porter beat Usyk for lords sake haha!
This is the problem with winning all these International/Silver/Intercontinental baubles against limited opposition, they move you up the rankings until you become mandatory and then you think, oh bugger...
I'd have great repsect if Yarde goes through with it but like others have said, it's not likely.
As skanksta points out, surely it would have been better for him to face his domestic rivals rather than pick off a load of no hopers for a spurious title or two.

^ I agree with you lads - guess his manager/trainer and FW if taking a risk want to maximize revenue
