The Takam fight was supposed to go the distance... it's all beginning to be hype.
Wilder can say he's knocked everyone out, AJ can't..
Parker didn't take much punishment and did show good chin.
I gather some on here might rate him bit better based on that loss.. he showed good attributes..
well maybe he could wait till parkers lost his drive, gained a bunch of weight, been inactive, then stop him in a rematch so he cansay hes stopped all his opponents

Parker fighting ref and Joshua on the inside
Oh well gotta take the defeat on the chin and hope for better ref next time in rematch a few years from now .
Parker 25 so he’s still got time to improve.

Lennox Lewis would KO AJ, Parker and Wilder KO1 connectively. At least HW champs of 10-15 years ago were game for a fight. AJ looked like Michael Grant, stiff and upright. Parker looked no better than Glenn McClory

I think people saying Parker won are deranged.
IP betting was 1/100 in the 12th.
AJ didn't win big by any means, but how on earth you'd give Parker 7 rounds ?!
And people saying "British judging is the worst in the world" - no better or worse than anywhere else.
I mean, Crolla won easily, was the (very) popular hometown hero and he got stiffed.
Canelo always has @ least one judge in his pocket.
The fact that some people genuinely believe Parker won shows that there are some crazy, subjective opinions on every bout.

If I'm not mistaken, one ref from NZ and one from USA, so yes...it's a global problem. AJ won but way closer...

26.. but yeh, he's still young in the game. Have a feeling he will pick up a world title again.. i feel some mandatories will cause a vacant title. IBF are usually the pricks..

McCrory was very good, just a lot lighter than Lewis in those 190 days.
As for scoring, this felt like a 6-3-3 fight to me. 117-114.

I'm not seeing much of anyone saying Parker won.
The majority are just saying it was way closer.

Parker threw about 1530284850 jabs though... every single one out of range. He was the shorter, less rangy fighter and he was fighting at long distance. Yes the ref was sh1t when he tried to get inside but he started the fight like that. It wasn’t til what? Round 5 before he started trying to nut his way inside. It’s like he though he was suddenly 6ft 10 fighting at range. Made it easy for AJ who was throwing punches like a problemed robot... AJ needs to reprogramme his algorithms to more than jab... occasionally jab, miss timed upper cut

Yeah, Parker landed 8 shots, Joshua 18, and the ref touched them 221 times and got in 412 words including his often repeated, "Please don't punch each other."

I thought Joshua won. My scoring had a few rounds I couldn't decide. That's why I'm not a pro. I'd rather put myself out their than sit back and criticize. All in all it was a disappointing fight, probably because AJ has such high expectations.

Bad scoring. Why would Povetkin or Wilder want to come to the UK to fight Joshua?

To be fair, wilder knows a fight with AJ ends KO either way... no way that goes the distance
