Our honest and earnest mental health advocate has never walked back any of his old testament era statements about homosexuals and women, just like with Daniel Kinahan, he quickly glossed over it any time, the rare time, someone brought them up

For someone who has a reputation for telling it like it is, he is remarkably inconsistent in his beliefs , or at least how he expresses them

US Government now asking to see peoples financial records, will be applying for court orders for those who won’t provide them.

The option to bullshit about finances is apparently soon to disappear. They certainly won’t be ignoring those 3 multi million Wilder purses.

Not sure if this affects anyone who hasn’t boxed (or earned money) in America, but Tyson Fury, Billy Joe Saunders, Liam Smith, Rocky Fielding and Jono Carroll have all had title fights in the states and have been connected with MTK at some point, off the top of head. Can’t remember in Callum Smith was signed to MTK, but if he was his Canelo purse would fall under this to.

The above doesn’t include any non British/Irish fighters boxing in the US who were signed by MTK.

If it includes money earned outside the US, god help.

They won’t go after money earned legitimately. They will be aware of under the table deals and cash incentives though. I believe all this pressure is to get people to talk. They aren’t going to waste resources on chasing everyone. Just fornicate up peoples lives a bit to get them to see where their breads buttered.

Difficult to say, with so many countries involved, all with different laws.
Also, there seems to be a bit of a ‘funding terrorism’ angle from the US government. If it comes under anti terrorism laws I think most options are open.
There will almost certainly be a couple of people who were in the know and who were dull enough to put something down on text etc, Those ones will be hung out to dry.
Unexplainable large sums of money to buy things like gyms and other property will also start bells ringing rather loudly.
Aside from that, it’s a very big kick in the arse to get the ones who aren’t real crims, but like to sail a bit close to line, to break cover and try to save themselves.

Bob Arum saying Tyson isn’t banned from US
Who knows. It’s the same guy who said the Wildwr arbitration was a non-issue and that ‘yesterday I was lying…,today I’m telling the truth’.

I’d be surprised if Tyson isn’t banned considering Kugan is. Why was Bob paying Kinahan $1m/fight if Tyson had no business dealings with him?!

Who knows, Bob is saying in the article that he dealt with Kinahan himself not Tyson. I wouldn’t be surprised if Arum himself put some info forward to get himself out from under DK.

I just think it’d be challenged as to why they chose or had to work with Kinahan on Fury fights.

I’ve no idea. It’s Bob who said it. I’m just going by what the article said. All the speculation in the thread has came from news sources so what’s in that article is as real as anything else.

Tyson appears not to be banned from the US.

Yeah but I’m sure he’ll protect himself/his company over Tyson. I’ll believe Tyson not being banned/his issue being resolved when he’s posting videos by the pool of his place in Vegas.

What’s he got to protect? He’s been open about it, if Bob hadn’t said publicly he was getting paid directly by DK would anyone even know about it? He’s already in the US so if anything was happening to him it would be happening already.

I think Bob dropped a bollock in mentioning the $1m payments. He might be a smart bloke and lawyer but he puts his foot in it more and more each year (like his comments about no one wanting to watch women’s boxing when he’s promoting one of the best - whether true or not it’s not going to do his business any favours).

He’s mentioned the $1m payments, said that Tyson wasn’t involved but I’m sure if he’s pushed by the relevant authorities hard enough then the story would change as why would Bob be paying DK if he wasn’t involved with Fury.

How could Fury possiblly not know about the payments. He was seen hanging around with Kinahan in Dubai and clearly looking like mates. You'd hardly think he wouldn't know. I think that part of the story was where he just went a little too far.
