What he said.

At least he's making genuine progress rather than sitting on a WBO ranking fighting bums like Philip Kotey.

Two live opponents, if nothing spectacular, and now an American debut - a decent first year or so at Matchroom. At Allegedly Promotions, he probably beat the weakest set of contenders ever for an outright Lonsdale belt holder and was doing nothing of note in the immediate aftermath.

Fighting on DeGale undercards can't have done his confidence any good either.

Allegedly has blown it with the class of 2008. That's clear to see.

He's fought better names in the last year than previously.

It's quite clear what the purpose of his next fight is, surely?

I mean, it's not as if it's a title challenge or defence.

Hopefully he'll get a shot by Easter 2012.

Welsh lads here close to Clev, ffs, tell him to pull this crock of shite and join a Yank outfit if he believes in himself. FW works for Cleverly. FW is using Clev's career to boost his own station. Fvck that, tell Clev to get stuck in with the big boys. A loss if fvck all to us.

Nathan needs to get as far away from Warren as possible, as Nathan has talent and Warren will only stifle it with poor opponents.

Hopkins? Cloud? Shumenov? Do any of you really honestly believe Warren is genuinely interested in matching Nathan with any of these? He won't pay that kind of money and he definitely won't let Nathan fight abroad. So from here on in, expect the fights in Wales against C & D level opponents, on PPV (maybe harsh on Allegedly, but he has no problem doing this sort of thing, as we know). Hate to see a good, young fighter going down this route, again.

Exactly what I thought! How exactly do you pronounce 'Andrzej'? The interviews in the build up are going to be a nightmare.
Just like Andre, I think.
Thank you for answering my 100% serious question, Asterix.

Yeah I'm a fan of cleverly and thought warren was doing ok for him up until now, but I do see him feeding him bums like this for a long time, I honestly think warren wanted bellew to beat Clev as he is more marketable, think Clev should move to matchroom asap

Hate for Clev? I don't know anyone who hates Clev. He's a good fighter, decent bloke and we just rather a Henry, Diaconu or hell, even Maccarinelli.

But let's get real, does anyone think Sky would approve this guy as a world title challenger..?

Fonfara can bang a bit

Has done some impressive KO's and is very aggressive

Could be good

Can't see Cleverly just boxing in this one, will be good as long as it last

Diaconu would be a perfectly adequate challenger considering where Nathan is at.

He's got three losses to genuine world level opponents, he's never been stopped and is probably slightly past his best.

There's a bit of name value there, certainly more so than this fella who's a complete unknown with a KO loss at a much lower weight.

Hell, why not offer Glen Johnson the fight?

Both of Glen's elbows have gone.

One went during the Froch fight and the other started to flair up during the Bute camp. They've given him issues for a couple of years but now they've had it.

As a result it's agony for him to connect and he's apparently going to either have BOTH operated on, or retire.

There's a scoop for someone.

Fonfara won again last night another knock out, they asked his manager what was next and was there any truth in the Cleverly rumours and he said I have had no conversation with anyone from Cleverly's team not one person from there has called me, he has no idea where the story has come from apparently.

You may be right mate I am going to stick with Dustin Dirks as there is a connection between both promoters, the interesting thing is that why was the rumour started, was it to test the
water for a non entity as an opponent, hopefully they will have got the message on that one.

Worthy?? I'd call being run as close as he was being worthy! I'm better than Fonfara that's for sure isn't it! Like I've said, I'd jump at a rematch in Cardiff! I'm improving at a faster rate than him and wanna fight world ranked fighters..
