I remember being glad he eventually got KO,D by Wladamir in the first bout as he didnt even try to become World champ then IMO
Yeah he's quite defensively sound is Thompson. Offensively he doesnt look great a lot of the time but he's good at evading shots.
Yeah he is what he is,take Kevin Johnson for instance didnt even try to beat Vitali,a victory for him was going the distance, blah who cares do we really wanna see him be world champ :?? but when you get David Haye,Cris Arreola etc fighters who are bashing their way to a title shot just freeze :witzend: then you get mediocre fighters like Chisora getting mega exposure coz he at least tried to beat Vitali, when really he,s nothing more than European level boxer
I can see the similarities. I think Thompson is better than Johnson though to be fair. Johnson doesnt seem to actually throw a punch full stop! Haha.

so do u think 800k was actually offered? And if so he should be able to offered to other top 20 hwy right? If his team think
he can beat Thompson I'm pretty sure they think they can beat other world class heavys. So with 800k it shouldn't be hard to find an world class opponent next if he was serious.
I'm sure we'll see, but if you think about it someone offering you that much money to fight an 18 year old kid where you wouldn't earn anything boxing wise from it they will avoid him.
I guess that type of couldn't even get him a Brittish level fighter let alone a world class. Don't falsely use world class fighters with no intention of fighting him or anyone else and they signs a tune up fight. What a load of crock. Its not all his fault its his team for pulling that stunt. I bet it still people who believe that offer was true

Throw Hughie in with Audley. Audley is shot and will hit the deck once Hughie gives him a slight brush from his glove on the chops. Hughie will have a 'name' on the record, and the fact that he fought a former euro champ and former WC contender. Great experience plus Audley can always get people talking and is a one man hype machine.

Please please please, Team fury - now is not the right time to have Hughie facing the likes of someone at Thompsons level.

I want to see Audley have a few wins and build us up, he can't just have another fight he has no chance.

I actually think this fight will come off on the undercard of Haye v Fury. I am sure fraudley will be confident that he can bully a young kid with only a handful of fights. Hughie would knock out Harrison in the first round, Harrison will be all confident until he climbs into the ring then shit himself

Yes we want Audley v Hughie I would love to see Audley lose to Hughie even he couldn't comeback after that and if he wins we could all have a good laugh as the A train rolls again.

When has Audley ever 'bullied' someone in the ring?! Haha.

I don't want to be contrary for the sake of it; Harrison is not the worst boxer to lace gloves on and at a certain level he can do a lot of damage; he goes to pieces when hit by a big puncher but when his mind's right he boxes well and imposes himself.

I think its incidental now as Hughie is down to fight Sept 14. Thats a shame as I was convinced he would be on the 28th bill
