Beating Bradley would have got Brook more acclaim than beat Alexander. As far as options he clearly would have had to fight some top rank fighters if he won. Lets look as who arum has (or works with) at 147.....Pac Man, Rios, Marquez. He would have certainly had to fight one of them if he got past Bradley, would that have been a bad thing? instead we are stuck with him fighting some guy who beat a shot hatton, a mexican nobody and who can forget that long anticipated rematch with Carson Jones.

Though to be fair Brook wouldn't have beaten Bradley and may have been exposed badly - Brook is a powerful fighter but would need a willing partner to shine; from the level of opposition that Brook has beaten (well beaten for the most part) Bradley would have been just too much fror him, Bradley is a cash out fight after Brook has a title and made some money.

Fair point I agree Bradley would have been too much. But as a fan I just want to see Brook tested, he has all this hype behind him yet he really has done nothing in 30 plus fights on the world level, then he turns down this fight and it makes me think his team really know hes not as good as they are letting on.

You're saying it like he has deliberately avoided top fighters. He would have fought Devon Alexander by now if it wasn't for the most unlikely bad luck. If not for freakish poor fortune, he could be the IBF world champ right now.

I think we all want to see Brook tested, but they've targeted the IBF title and then the title holder lost it in an upset. Shit happens, especially in this sport.

I'm not convinced Bradley would beat Brook. Tim starts as favourite but Kell would have a good chance with anyone in the division.

Perhaps the elbow infection came on after an envelope was opened and a writ was found inside ? This would have been his first fight under Eddie, wasn't Fwank going to sue Paul too ? There's been so many defections and lawsuits I have lost count.

So the undefeated fighter who has beat Alexander ,the undefeated at the time Lamont Peterson JMM and Manny Pacquiao :-? , couldn't beat Kell Brook who has beaten. . . no one of note

To be fair to Smith the injury does seem genuine, put a picture on twitter of his elbow swelled up and one with some needle in his hand.
