Now ITV in 2015 - get it right..... we need..... "duh, duh, duh, de duuuuuhhhh, duh, duh, duh" as the theme song, not the one you had with your foray 10 years ago!!!!!!

Twitter members, bombard Frampton with this request!!!

It's funny with the speculation, were people just guessing??.... we had online PPV, BT sport, Sky, 5 all mentioned as serious contenders by people saying they'd had inside information. So either Frampton had a lot of interest from a varied of TV outlets, or people were just plucking tv channels out of thin air.

once again "duh, duh, duh, de duuuuh, duh, duh, duh".

Can ITV poach Jim Rosenthal also from allegedly??
And Ian Darke from BT?

Yes ITV one was great

But I think I prefered the BBC one, for Minter, McGuigen, Bruno and all the rest

ITV executive Niall Sloane said: 'This is a first step back into boxing for us and it is very exciting.
'It used to be that fighters were built up on terrestrial television before going on to pay-per-view with the likes of Sky. But lately the wider public have been deprived of the chance of seeing brilliant youngsters like Carl.'

Now imagine the impact of a promoter, acting on behalf of ITV, winning the purse bid for Andy Lee Vs. BJS. Very unlikely but an interesting thought.
Another quote from "an excited" Niall Sloane today:

"It has not been determined if this is a one-and-done for ITV, but hopefully it will lead to more. This fight presents an opportunity to showcase a young, exciting British boxer to our audience. We're looking forward to bringing viewers an evening of world class boxing."

I suppose this could be a sink or swim affair. As boxing fans all we can do is tune into ITV on the night and make sure we floor ITV's Twitter and Facebook pages with praise.

The old old ITV theme song before "duh, duh, duh, de, duuuuh, duh, duh, duh" used to frightend the shit into me as a kid.

I want them to get Shannon Briggs in. He provided excellent analysis during Eurosport's Klitschko coverage.

It's fanstatic news for Frampton. The viewing figures will be good on ITV.

If Frampton wins I think the Quigg fight will actually end up a no-go, because Quigg brings next to nothing in terms of popularity and marketing.

I'm putting my stop watch on standby the second the ITV/Frampton broadcast ends for the doom mongers to start the tedious "is this the end of ITV showing boxing" Just enjoy it while it lasts !

And Hearn will still demand 50-50, the fight to be in Manchester and on Sky.

Even in Manchester, the Irish will buy 15,000 of the tickets.

They should get the original ITV theme, best ever and maybe try to modernise it slightly. Only slightly.

Calm down, it is only ITV4. Terrestrial TV is overrated and does nothing for modern boxing. Leave it to the professionals - SKY.

Undercard on ITV4, then over to ITV1 for the main event. If they plug the fight in the show on before hopefully a lot of people will keep it on and watch the fight instead of turning over to watch match of the day.
