So he defeated 10 HOF in his career, but they were no good, again you stayed well clear of injuries and diet I see, you try to put your side forward but seem to dismiss quite a bit, what about 6 oz gloves with badger hair, how would floyd deal with that

mayweather is not spectacular by any means. look at his latest wins against maidana, and even alvarez, they are not scintillating performances, but simply demonstrations of defensive wizardry. though technically, he well may be the finest boxer ever, with a ring generalship and poise under pressure, unmatched.
robinson was an artist in the ring. power in both hands, speed, grace, and a fearlessness in attack.
the fact that we are even comparing them at all says alot for floyds accomplishments. and if he beats pacquiao he can at least lay claim to being one of the greatest fighters of all time, though he will never be a sugar ray robinson.

FMJ made his point; he is light years ahead of SRR at marketing a fight.

It will be enough if Floyd can say he is the best of his generation. We will find out soon.

You have to believe you are the best.He believes it.
Spot on.
Mayweather can say whatever he likes & it can't be a surprise that someone like him thinks he's the best ever.
If he didn't believe that wholeheartedly, he might just be a footnote in boxing history now.

Always great comparing different eras. But based on boxing and boxing alone, I think Floyd has a right to claim his greatness. A win on Sunday will cement his greatness - and I am not a floyd fan as such, but I know adn respect talent.
