It seems it'll be a victory for a challenger to last the distance with Golovkin, he is pretty destructive.

True - every shot he lands seems to have a serious impact - everything is thrown with weight behind it, even the jab.

I don't think so. Most of the head punches he throws are purposefully relatively light, but then he puts his weight into one, and if it lands, then there is guaranteed trouble. He also changes rhythm where punches in his series don't have the same interval between them -- the bigger punch comes with a delay or sooner than expected. Most of good boxers do that and nobody puts weight in all their punches.

All his punches have correct leverage and he has good timing, he doesn't have to hurl his body into every shot. He isn't as dramatic puncher as I've seen but he is cutting some decent fighters down to size and he doesn't look hurried while he does it.

Eubank would get mauled by Golovkin. If he does posses a granite chin, that's an even more frightening scenario.

Yes, that's very well put - what I meant was that there are no 'pitty pat' shots. Even the set up shots have weight behind them.
I also like the fact there is great economy in his work, he misses few and doesn't waste shots when he isn't in a position to punch. When he does throw, it seems to be almost always in combination. which ramps up the pressure. You can put weight into a punch without putting ALL your weight into them if you know what I mean. There don't seem to be, as jim Watt would call them 'aaarrrrrrrrrrrruuummmm punchaaaas."

They are not changing their minds.
I think they always had Golovkin on the radar somewhere.
It was just a matter of timing and money.
Froch vs Golovkin is surely a fight HBO will pay good money for.
And the live gate to be netted at Wembley makes this a very lucrative fight.
Funny, I thought somebody here was saying that fight never happens because it wouldn't make any money...

Froch's just messing around.
He likes the attention, and reading his name in the papers.
But he knows better than having his head taken off in his farewell bout in front of his fans.
Chavez Jr did the same, and everybody knew he was just pissing in the wind.
If Degale wins, expect them to meet in november.

Where's GOmez? He'll have an informed and thoughtful take on it.
