Camp Eddie has played this really smart
I'm not the best on the politics and money and that, but basically, kell wants a big fight, kell.doesnt bring money, Vargas halfway arranged but he wants more than makes financial sense, Camp Eddie calls kells bluff, 'well if you REALLY want a big fight....' and ends up with a fight he (Camp Eddie) actually makes good money on. Yes?

I think will Brook will put on a gallant performance. I see him lasting until atleast the 8th. I think he'll come out from this having done a better job against GGG than Khan did against Canelo.

Sounds about right. Whilst I'm not their biggest fans one criticism you can't level at them is a lack of financial savvy.

Yes you're right, that is a criticism I couldn't level at them.
Happy to give the long list of ones I can level, though.....

8th round? No chance, Golovkin will take him out within 3.

As per Hearns phone call Eubanks wanted control of the whole show and extortionate ticket prices.
Sr obviously got too involved in this.

Tell you what it seems Brook took the fight in 24 hours where as Eubanks were messing about. I think he will get destroyed but fair play to him I'll bow down to him if he can somehow pull this off.

Does anybody know what sort of weight Brook re-hydrates to, normally?
Is Kell a real 5'9", or a Canelo 5'9" (5'7")

I think Brooks a real 5'9. When he did a head to head with Khan he an inch or two taller.

I think I give Brook less chance than I gave Khan against Canelo. At least Khan had a significant speed advantage in that fight which saw him win some early rounds (although realistically we all knew it was just a matter of time before he slowed and got ko'd), but I just can't see a way Kell has any chance against GGG. Forgetting about the size difference, Golovkin does everything better and has crushed all of his previous opposition. How could Kell win this fight? Convince me...

Obviously just a guess but looking at him there is no way he 'only' puts 12lbs back on, I'm positive its more than that. Leo Santa Cruz probably puts more than 12 on so I'm damn sure kell does.

@Lou DiBella isn't too convinced:
"PPV FORMULA: good small man takes mismatch fight w/ NO chance to win for big $$. Loses, in ONLY possible result, but not his stock. STINKS!!"
"Size MATTERS. Weight MATTERS. Love both , but not vs. each other. It's a friggin joke. Mismatch, totally, on size!"

shawn porter was able to bully kell into the ropes for the majority of their fight. porter isn't golovkin

Not sure that will be a factor, Porter pushes and uses physicality in a way GGG doesn't. GGG is good enough not to bother with that, he can just punch you in the face. Anyways I think he can batter brook around even if his back never touches the ropes

Jesus fair play to the lad. It's been a long, long time coming for Brook to have a real good fight. Didn't think it would be GGG though. Good luck to Kell though I want him to win but think he'll fall well short.

Perhaps you should write a stiff letter of complaint.

Will be interested in the BBBofC's stance on the weight issue, a welterweight moving up 2 divisions to box a middleweight who punches two divisions above his weight.
Different scale I understand, but I've had 2 matches knocked back recently for much smaller weight difference.

Brook and Canelo would probably be a good fight actually.
