I thought the scorecards for Ward Kov I were correct
I had Frampton v Santa Cruz I as a draw.
I had Chisora beating Whyte fairly comfortably.

Re: cases where u/you disagree with most ppl
Jacobs beat GGG.
Froch vs GGG would have been in the top ten best fights ever and Froch would have won.
Maidana won the first Mayweather fight.
Wladamir did not let Joshua “off the hook” he boxed sensibly against a very dangerous opponent who was blowing out of his arse and ready to go. We all thought he’d won. If he’d gone for the kill and got caught people would have had a go at him for steaming in like an idiot.
Chisora best Whyte.
Deontay Wilder is fornicating shite.
Jack beat Degale.
Pacquiao won the 3rd Marquez fight.
Joe Joyce is really good and is going to do stop every poor bastard he fights in one sided beat downs until he gets a title shot.
Kovalev vs Hopkins wasn’t a masterclass. Hopkins went down, shit a brick and ran for his life knowing that if he engaged he was going to sleep.
Canelo and Ward are a couple of pricks.
Froch Dirrell was not a robbery
Steve Cunningham is criminally underrated.
I’m sure there are plenty more.

Re: cases where u/you disagree with most ppl
im very confident froch wouldve taken ggg. he wouldve smiled at his shots and beaten up a guy whose even easier to hit. too big too strong.
Re: cases where u/you disagree with most ppl
another one brought to mind from the 'bad persons' thread in the other section:
im glad evil gerald mclellan got bashed in. karma for being an awful, evil , sadistic person who enjoyed torturing and killing animals that he made defenseless. geralds defenseless now too but at least he was allowed to defend himself vs benn.

In fact, I think Jack vs Groves was a closer fight than Jack vs Degale and if either deserved to get a draw it should have been Groves
Re: cases where u/you disagree with most ppl
jack vs groves was really close. ppl forget just how many rounds jack really didnt do much while groves kept at it. yes jacks effective but he can really do too little sometimes. very one paced. i think after yrs of being underrated hes actually gotten just a tad ovverated tbh. hes barely better than groves, which is still quite good. quite possibly top 3 at 175 (imo lots of overrated eastern euros, though actually not kov).

I don't think Pernell Whitaker that great or as hard to hit as some make out.
Re: cases where u/you disagree with most ppl
i had frampton vs quigg a draw now that i remember. gave quigg 1 round in first half then 5 of the last 6
Re: cases where u/you disagree with most ppl
I had Groves beating Jack in a close one, but thought Jack beat DeGale well enough.
I agreed with Horn beating Pac Man in a close one.

A few things really, primarily the reality of the technology and the future usefulness of simulation as a tool.Tomasino wrote: ↑09 Jan 2018, 12:40vidal wrote: ↑07 Dec 2017, 05:28 In terms of boxing, I was convinced Groves would handsomely beat Froch in the rematch.

As we stand, we're not too many years off being able to create such technology where we could create a simulated world with free thinking characters. The use would be immense as it would allow us to model and predict scenarios from economic to military applications.
What's to say we're not living in such a simulation?
The more I read about quantum physics, the more convinced I am:
The big bang theory leaves so many unanswered questions.

I do agree that’s it is coming soon technology and it will be immensely useful. It was a big part of a series of books I enjoyed, Altered Carbon being the first one.
Now, if we invent the technology and use it for ourselves that’s one thing but who has made the simulation that is our current reality?

Robin reid beat calzaghe
Bhop beat calzaghe
Holyfield beat lewis in the rematch
Never rated fury as a fighter, great talker but just cant take to him
ODLH beat floyd
ODLH beat trinidad
ODLH beat mosley in the rematch
Sturm beat ODLH
Bhop vs ODLH was a fix
Collazo beat hatton
Chocolatito got robbed in his first defeat
Canelo got beat by lara
Mike tyson was top in probably the worst era of heavyweight boxing
I thought cotto vs mayweather was a lot closer than the judges had it,like a round or two close
GGG got beat by jacobs
I had maidana beating floyd in the first fight.

Re: cases where u/you disagree with most ppl
Out of interest, have you rewatched that fight? I remember thinking watching it live that it was a very close fight which could have gone either way, but I watched it back and scored it properly for the first time a few years ago when we were doing the 52 week challenge thing on here, and I scored it fairly comfortably for Calzaghe. Reid definitely had his moments in the mid-rounds, but Calzaghe definitely won the fight imo.
Re: cases where u/you disagree with most ppl
If im completely honest i have never watched it back and could of been swayed cause reid was from merseyside and i followed him through the barcelona olympics. I was never a fan of calzaghe till he schooled lacey so add them two together and probably thats were i get the reid beat calzaghe from,if i get a spare hour one day i will dwfo rewatch it and try and score it fairlyBoxerbeetle wrote: ↑09 Jan 2018, 18:17Out of interest, have you rewatched that fight? John Simpson was the most robbed British fighter ever.
Prime steve Cunningham beats Prime David Hayes at 200. Hayes now overrated at the weight for 2 big wins without having any world class longevity.
Had they fought Amir Khan would have dominated Tim Bradley.
David Price pre Thompson would have Ko'd Tyson Fury, Thompsons chin was incredible, not many would have got through.
