Re: Fury vs Wilder "almost done"
Wilder has blatantly ducked Dillian Whyte and the WBC making Dominic Breazeale Wilder's mandatory when he is ranked below Whyte is absolutely disgraceful.
Re: Fury vs Wilder "almost done"
Yeah it's a funny one with the WBC. Whyte has been far more active and has better wins. I never understand these rankings tbh. Breazeale has only fought twice since AJ. 2 decent wins but Whyte has been far more impressive and active!keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑03 Aug 2018, 17:27 Wilder has blatantly ducked Dillian Whyte and the WBC making Dominic Breazeale Wilder's mandatory when he is ranked below Whyte is absolutely disgraceful.![]()

Re: Fury vs Wilder "almost done"
the wbc belt has been largely an al haymon affair, look at wilders fought since having the title, its like almost entirely haymon fighters even though most of them were hardly that good.
Re: Fury vs Wilder "almost done"
Yeah Canelo was their pet for a while wasn't he.. Then took the huff when they had the cheek to try and make him fight GGGNightmare Roy wrote: ↑03 Aug 2018, 17:56They always favour yanks and MexicansStuarty wrote: ↑03 Aug 2018, 17:46Yeah it's a funny one with the WBC. He looked in poor shape in his comeback despite all the talk prior to it.danconnollyeire wrote: ↑03 Aug 2018, 07:09What's wrong with his physical condition?leejonesjnr wrote: ↑03 Aug 2018, 06:26Hasn’t done this yet.
I actually don’t think he should currently be allowed to box given his physical condition.
It would be interesting to see a contest against Wilder but that is on the assumption that Fury can massively improve his current situation first.
He's looking pretty trim. He's in better shape that a lot of HW's with licences
Re: Fury vs Wilder "almost done"
Aye but considering where his starting point was not too long ago he was in reasonable shape.samwbr wrote: ↑04 Aug 2018, 03:41He looked in poor shape in his comeback despite all the talk prior to it.danconnollyeire wrote: ↑03 Aug 2018, 07:09What's wrong with his physical condition?leejonesjnr wrote: ↑03 Aug 2018, 06:26

If he's carried on from there since the first fight then he'll be in pretty good shape this time around. He certainly looks like he's getting trimmer and fitter.
Re: Fury vs Wilder "almost done"
Fury seems to be well up for it and making great progress considering he was 27st
Re: Fury vs Wilder "almost done"
If the fight will happen, i would say Fury UD. Too much technical for Wilder.
Re: Fury vs Wilder "almost done"
If fury fights wilder and wins what sort of split should he get vs AJ

I'd expect most people to say half.
But fingers crossed this actually happens first. Some of us think that Wlad was out of sorts that night (I'm in this camp), and that Fury was elevated above his station, while others have it down as a masterclass that revealed the blueprint to cruise past Wilder.
So let's find out!

I'll have to hold my hands up if that happens, but at least we'll have seen it!
And it'd force AJ to accept the winner as his next challenger.

Has this not been sorted yet?
Fury was bragging he'd got it all but signed in two days. Last week, this was.

Re: Fury vs Wilder "almost done"
ya fury said it took all of 2 days and was super easy, then warren says its taken 2 weeks and suggests its happening but not actually done
i hope it happens but very sceptical

If Fury goes to Vegas and dethrones Wilder for the WBC title I'd say he deserves more than half the pot vs AJ.Grilling Machine wrote: ↑05 Aug 2018, 17:59 I'd expect most people to say half.

I am sceptical about Fury vs Wilder actually being made though, they both have fights before such a match up and it looks to me like all concerned - not just the fighters but also their camps / promoters - are using this as an excuse to put the boot in on Eddie and AJ and depict them as greedy, and not really wanting AJ vs Wilder.
I think talking about Fury vs Wilder at xmas is good for Fury and Wilder right now. But Fury could suck next weekend, and I wouldn't totally rule out Breazale giving Wilder a tough fight either. As for Fury's last fight he was absolutely nowhere near world title level - nowhere near. He might pull his socks up next weekend and impress us - I hope he does.
Re: Fury vs Wilder "almost done"
There's a video of Fury on YouTube about a week ago and he looks like he has put a lot of work in .
Looks better than a very long long time .

Re: Fury vs Wilder "almost done"
I think is getting Fury at the right time. Tyson's next fight won't be competive and then he's in with Wildder, a fast, hard hitting, unpredictable champion. Fury will need to be focused to win. I think the Wilder fight is harder for Tyson than Joshua style wise.
Re: Fury vs Wilder "almost done"
Wilder is sh*t, been a pro years and hasn't really done f*ck all, got a couple names on his record that's it, he is always off balance , got rocked to his boot straps by scoiners, mans a raving dinlo and he has a big shot that's about it, won't be landing that big shot on Tyson
Re: Fury vs Wilder "almost done"
He's unorthodox but he's not shît. He gets victories. Always manages to pull it out. Fury has the skill set to make him look daft but I'm not sure if he's ready yet.Oiky wrote: ↑11 Aug 2018, 17:48 Wilder is sh*t, been a pro years and hasn't really done f*ck all, got a couple names on his record that's it, he is always off balance , got rocked to his boot straps by scoiners, mans a raving dinlo and he has a big shot that's about it, won't be landing that big shot on Tyson

There are 5,000 current boxers who would love to be as sh*t or do as f*ck all as Wilder.Oiky wrote: ↑11 Aug 2018, 17:48 Wilder is sh*t, been a pro years and hasn't really done f*ck all, got a couple names on his record that's it, he is always off balance , got rocked to his boot straps by scoiners, mans a raving dinlo and he has a big shot that's about it, won't be landing that big shot on Tyson

Re: Fury vs Wilder "almost done"
I’d like to be so shit I’d won a Olympic bronze medal and won 40 HW fights on the bounce, , 39 by KO ,and picked up the WBC belt and about $20m quid on the way with more to come .tiny_acres wrote: ↑11 Aug 2018, 21:05There are 5,000 current boxers who would love to be as sh*t or do as f*ck all as Wilder.Oiky wrote: ↑11 Aug 2018, 17:48 Wilder is sh*t, been a pro years and hasn't really done f*ck all, got a couple names on his record that's it, he is always off balance , got rocked to his boot straps by scoiners, mans a raving dinlo and he has a big shot that's about it, won't be landing that big shot on Tyson
Re: Fury vs Wilder "almost done"
If you notice the title orgs almost always seemed to be in the control of one promoter or another.
The WBC Champ is often in Haymon's camp these days. The WBO Champs a great deal of the time are with Top Rank.
The WBA has so many Champs they're just kinda with everybody

It's fine if people don't like him but he has a very good career.
