Don't be so sure. GGG is a tough battle tested fighter at ams and pros. I'd say that maybe 160 lbs RJJ and Toney in their primes would clearly beat the best version of GGG.

Hagler didn't hit as hard as ggg and he was smaller. He had a significant edge at everything else. I think ggg would beat toney. Marvin would handle all of them.

Hopkins does have a stronger MW resume, but how many of his opponents would really have caused Golovkin much trouble? (other than RJJ, obviously)

I was wondering why anyone would not consider these men who grew into the divisions they fought at not being true Middleweights or Welterweights.
DelaHoya was not a featherwight when he faced Floyd or Bernard
Trinidad grew into a middleweight
And Pac was so far above Light flyweight he'd of had to of cut a leg off to make the weight.

Hopkins has never beaten a top 50! All time middle weight possible top 100 ..if I'm wrong name the middle weight boxers

i kinda see the point on oscar though, mw was like his 5th weight and in his only other fight there before he got a gift vs sturm, how high should he really be rated at mw?

I wouldn't rate Jones over him.

Golovkin did not lose at 160 like Hopkins and he did not have to jump off the ring to avoid another loss.

If we are talking about who ranks higher as a fighter well it would be hard to argue against Hopkins right now. It’s hard to imagine golovkin will go on to capture titles at different weight classes because a) he’s not that big b) he’s drug tested c) he has an action fan friendly style and won’t stink the joint out ala Hopkins.

I personally think golovkin is a great fighter. He’s proved he has great offence, a jab and special heart as shown in ggg Canelo 2. He has all the Ingredients of a great unfortunately he was avoided in his prime.

I don’t know enough about the top ten but I know he shouldn’t be too far off. The best middleweight I’ve seen is Hagler.

Ok guys, let's see your mw top 10 list.

I love GGG. But there are easily 10 mw fighters in history who have accomplished more than him.

If you mean Hagler then yes I have. As I’ve been watching boxing for almost 40 years. Hagler vs GGG would have been an amazing fight but I’d never say that Hagler would win. No way. GGG has a better chin and jab. That jab would ruin Hagler and I think it would be an unanimous 12 round decision for GGG.

Some people tend to glorify the legendary great fighters to the degree of superhumans and that no fighters from our days can't touch them. GGG and Canelo are elite level fighters with a strong discipline and a great work ethic. Not to mention about their boxing skills and their toughness. Both would have a good chance to win against any of those ATG's 160 pounders.

Marvin had a much better jab and his movement was a million times better. Better chin than hagler ? I'd rate Marvin's as the best Ive seen in any weight class.
