Re: FURY VS WILDER POLL

Probably would've been better for him to have more weight behind his shots too. I think 219 or the low 220's would've been an ideal weight to have brought into the ring.
The thing about rounds where a guy "does very little" is that he still wins them if his opponent is accomplishing less than he was.Duran1970 wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 12:36 C'mon people...no robbery.. if you had fury by a couple points ok...but to say Wilder only won the rounds he scored knockdowns in is very inaccurate...did fury do enough to beat the champ?...alot of those rounds he did very little..alot of posturing holding moving etc...Wilder landed little also but this was not a 10-2 or 9-3 fury..that's pure nonsense.
I don't wear pink sunglasses to think, that someone is clean among high level professional athletes. And Fury has just fought in the USA, where nobody knows thier HW champ. Fury hasn't fought yet a championship fight in Britain, it's impossible to compare reasonably his popularity with Joshua's one. In the current situation Fury is The People's Champ in the sense, that he is treated like a winner of the title fight against Wilder by the majority of boxing fans. And his performance is generally accepted as an impressive one.Quantrax wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 12:45Which of these two boxers have failed a drugs test, refused another and had a suspended licence for the aforementioned offences?
a) Anthony Joshua
b) Tyson Fury
Which of these fighters sells out 70-90000 stadiums every time he fights?
a) Anthony Joshua
b) Tyson Fury
It's clear who is the juicer and it's clear who is the people's champion. Was Staples even sold out last night? I heard there were 4000 unsold tickets and it's only 21000 capacity.
I agreesquiggy wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 13:02The thing about rounds where a guy "does very little" is that he still wins them if his opponent is accomplishing less than he was.Duran1970 wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 12:36 C'mon people...no robbery.. if you had fury by a couple points ok...but to say Wilder only won the rounds he scored knockdowns in is very inaccurate...did fury do enough to beat the champ?...alot of those rounds he did very little..alot of posturing holding moving etc...Wilder landed little also but this was not a 10-2 or 9-3 fury..that's pure nonsense.
True. That is why I had Wilder winning comfortably.squiggy wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 13:02The thing about rounds where a guy "does very little" is that he still wins them if his opponent is accomplishing less than he was.Duran1970 wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 12:36 C'mon people...no robbery.. if you had fury by a couple points ok...but to say Wilder only won the rounds he scored knockdowns in is very inaccurate...did fury do enough to beat the champ?...alot of those rounds he did very little..alot of posturing holding moving etc...Wilder landed little also but this was not a 10-2 or 9-3 fury..that's pure nonsense.
You will not convince anyone. Their minds are made up.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 13:39 I didn't score it, but there was a ton of rounds you may as well have flipped a coin. 9-12 were the only clear rounds that come to mind. 8 swing rounds or so.
Seemed fair to me. Terrible fight.
I liked the fight. I was entertained.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 14:09Seemed fair to me. Terrible fight.

Fury has been suspended as a drug cheat, Joshua hasn't. Your opinion is irrelevant, your sunglasses are irrelevant, these are the facts.DrDuke wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 13:02I don't wear pink sunglasses to think, that someone is clean among high level professional athletes. Fury isn't the people's champ in any sense. He can't sell out a 21000 stadium, AJ sells out stadiums 4x that size.
He isn't treated as the winner of the fight by anyone. The fight was a draw, though some people disagree.
Though I agree with some of your post.Quantrax wrote: ↑02 Dec 2018, 14:22Fury has been suspended as a drug cheat, Joshua hasn't.
