I just read that Ortiz took the Wilder fight on seven weeks notice. Anyone know if that's true? I find that quite a high Bvllshvt level after telling AJ he doesn't have enough time to prepare for June.

I wouldn't put it quite like that. Love and hate are not emotions that I feel for any boxer, but if you're using the term in the modern casual throw away manner, then yes I guess I do. I'd prefer to call it "admire him" rather than "love" which I find a bit cringe-inducing, and while I'm pleading guilty I would like the court to take the case of Dillian Whyte into consideration when passing sentence

To be fair, Ortiz was due to fight Wilder the November before, and then fought in Dec. And straight after that fight went back into training.

Ortiz is always in shape, doesn’t have much rest.

Negotiations began on Dec 19 and the fight was confirmed by Dec 30.

That’s a blatant myth! The Wilder-Ortiz bout was in the works well before the 8th December, 2017, which was more than twelve weeks prior to their 3rd March, 2018, fight-date (i.e. ‘The Bronze Bomber’ entering the ring after King Kong’s bout against Daniel Martz).

The majority of the boxing media claimed the bout had already been pretty much made from that point in time onwards, with confirmation being received that a deal was struck more than eight prior to the actual fight-date.

Ortiz was already in-shape prior to entering training camp for his bout against 'The Bronze Bomber'. And with his fight against Wilder being considered a “sure deal”, meant he had far more than eight weeks to prepare.

I've very clearly stated why ad nauseum do yourself a favor and use your ignoring skills since it clearly upsets you and you refuse to admit the truth. I'm the same with all fighters, I prefer Joshua to wilder.
