Could you imagine the fallout from such a pathetic choice?

Plenty friends have fought each other.kbackup408 wrote: ↑17 Apr 2019, 20:53 the chisora and aj bout will not happen from what I know they are good pals outside of boxing (both boxed for finchley abc back in the ammys)
that being said if the £ is right chisora will scrap a goat for a pint of milk and some change![]()
A couple years ago we had a thread here recounting the big fights between guys who were BFF.
Boxing is a business. Friendship comes second once cash is being waved at you.
Much of the times, friends try to take each others heads off in sparring sessions anyways.
So an actual fight is no different, except it's a bit more meaningful and you get paid for your efforts.
Now I don't think Chisora will get the fight either. He's not really any sort of attraction in the US, and they would like to have a near full house at MSG.
But then again Junior Fa's name is even starting to surface, so you never know.
It may end up to be a Steve Rolls type choice.

Rubbish! Fres has consistently held a top five ranking with the WBA for years now, who could be more deserving of a shot?tiny_acres wrote: ↑17 Apr 2019, 22:55just glad it isn't true.

TBF, 10k Brits are going. They’ve sold 17k tickets.SenorPipino wrote: ↑17 Apr 2019, 19:56 David Haye has suggested his man, Chisora, as the replacement.
Hearn was supposedly interested but said possible talks won't begin until after Chisora's fight Saturday.
Doubtful that there would be any real interest in matching 2 Brits at MSG.
And Chisora qualifies as a complete unknown in America.

Junior Fa is GAME mate, bit of reputation especially amongst gyms to be a good sparring partner (he has the potential to drag a points decision at MSG so can't see that happening)SenorPipino wrote: ↑18 Apr 2019, 08:46 Plenty friends have fought each other.

But DAZN and Hearn are more interested in the American audience for this one.
They didn't bring it all the way to MSG just to make it convenient for UK fans.
A lot of fans are probably going to be demanding refunds. They're not getting what they paid for.

Well I am a fan of Joshua and a good part of the reason for that is he doesn't shirk a challenge. From the start of his pro career he's fought several previously unbeaten fighters, won three titles, fought two unifications, an ATG future hall of famer, and made several defences of his titles all in 22 fights. He's intent on becoming the undisputed champion and is perfectly willing to face any mandatories they care to nominate in turn in order to make that happen.
And numb-nuts thinks he is looking for the weakest possible opponent. Give me strength !
Re: Joshua vs Miller in Jeopardy After Miller Fails VADA Test
The first fighter he named when Hearn told him about Miller was Ortiz, so I agree that AJ isn't looking for an easy out.candyslim wrote: ↑18 Apr 2019, 13:25 Well I am a fan of Joshua and a good part of the reason for that is he doesn't shirk a challenge. He wants to beat the best and be the best. That should be perfectly obvious to anyone even slightly susceptible to reason. Sadly not everybody is.

Re: Joshua vs Miller in Jeopardy After Miller Fails VADA Test
I believe Millers first drugs ban was for DMAA. A crap stimulant used in preworkouts and weight loss pills.. Whyte was done for the same thing..
The stim bans always seem strange to me. BJS failed for Oxilofrine - UKAD say that is fine - Are lots of fighters in UK using this for training?
How many have the paperwork (TUE or whatever) for ADHD meds like Dexedrine or Adderall?
This GW1516 shit is in a completely different league.
