dont get me wrong, i think ortiz is about as good as any of the contenders outside the top 3 guys, but he seems to be put on a pedestal way too much as if hes somehow a level above that

has a pretty middling list of wins for a 40 year old
Yeh truth be told the Ortiz fight excites me more than any other but I'm just getting sick of these HWs pricing themselves out of fights, its embarrassing, Joshua would may as well fight in the Klitschko era if these frauds don't want to step up

Without sounding like a fanboy which i am TBF but if not for AJ then these guys would be fighting for peanuts

If that happens, I wonder if any posters would backtrack their bashing of Ortiz, rather admit great negotiating tactics.

I don’t know if this information has already been shared on this thread, so apologies in advance, but reports are circulating the web stating that Luis Ortiz was offered $5m for the AJ bout, but he rejected the offer, because he wanted $10m instead.

The Cuban’s alleged $10m demand is twenty times the size of his biggest ever purse, the $500K he received for the Wilder bout.

According to ESPN, Jarrell Miller was only meant to earn a guaranteed career-high purse of $4.875million for the Joshua fight, plus additional money from a percentage of UK pay-per-view profits.

If this information is true... and it’s being reported by lots of sources, it seems that the veteran Cuban has made the absurd decision to “duck”, by pricing himself out of the bout.

Yes, this has been communicated quite some time ago. In addition, Hearn is expected to counter offer Ortiz.

It hasn’t, but I don’t mind you providing a quote to prove me wrong. That’ll be a win-win situation for me either way. :TU:
