I only gave hooker 1 round, even w/o the kd i dont see how he wins 1 , 2, or 4

you wouldve given him round 1? the round where he kept fumbling over himself and was barely throwing? dont see that myself...he was very uncomfortable that first round and clearly loses that either way IMO

Thanks Ruthless.

We as boxing fans are so quick to criticize our chosen sport. We need to recognize what is great about it.

We clamor for the best to fight the best, howling and whining loudly. These last two weekends have given us the best v the best, and those men (winners and losers) have displayed the utmost respect for one another, and nothing but class to the public.

It is certainly tragically ironic given the deaths that have also occurred.

I disagree, obviously.

Even with his bumbling and stumbling in the first round, he landed the better shots, imo.

My scores were done real-time on this thread. Multiple rounds were close.

Dont see it myself, thought that was a poor opener in general for him and that he looked clumsy and nervous. Dont think he was even close to winning the round. Maybe I just dont like his slappy patty style

:maybe: That’s why they have three judges. Different opinions / perspectives make life interesting.

Lanky guys often have deceptive power. Hooker is a bit like Kelly Pavlik in that regard.

Ideally Ramirez would fight the WBSS winner now, but that probably couldn't happen until at least early 2020. If he wants a challenger in the meantime Postol is still kicking around the division with some success.

Just watched this masterpiece. It was a great brawl. Ramirez was dictating the fight from the start, but Hooker was fighting back pretty well, although the overall picture was leaning towards Ramirez without much doubt. Ramirez eventually caught Hooker with an excellent combination. Hooker was stunned and trapped on the ropes, what lead to absorbing a brutal combo. Earlier the ref did a mistake with scoring a KD in the 1st, but the stoppage was a good job by the ref.
