I honestly don't see the big deal here. It's not like he's breaking some holy record by taking a fight with a 12 year old girl. Not sure why it matters so much to you.
Some things just matter.
If it was some other top fighter I would feel the same.
Despite boxing being a despicable sport which I have loved all my life I can be purist about certain things.

It's not like we're being forced to watch that shvt. I couldn't care less what FMJ does.

I know.
But watching him walk around with TBE 51-0 on his baseball cap and t shirt will boil my blood

49-0 was never a record in the first place, and if people wanna act like Floyd's 49-0 wasn't superior to Marciano's 49-0 already they're delusional.
Hell his record was superior to Marciano's at 42-0.
It's all just gravy at this point.
He's able to sell PPV's because of people like ewenhay who CAN'T STAND HIM being TBE. Even though he's not, and never was. It's just a marketing tool...a marketing tool which obviously works.

You're wrong.
I loved watching Mayweather fight. I thought he was brilliant. I've no issue with Mayweather the fighter.
I'm not a hater, I'm not jealous. I think he's taking the piss though. And as a human being his past conduct is questionable at the very least.
And the hype won't work because I won't pay to watch it.

To me the guy is amassing a fortune and is a brilliant salesman. Given that, I don't partake in it.

It'll sell to somebody though. Whatever he does. As long as he's undefeated he'll always be able to draw a crowd to whatever he does. It'll all be over if he ever loses though. Nobody will care to see him lose twice. They just wanna see him lose.

I can only speak for myself. He's had fights I've enjoyed during his prime, but to watch any of these types of 'engagements' doesn't interest me. To me they are meaningless.

I find him boring since a long time.
Fights being meaningless is not my problem, but fights being boring. Floyd is the epitome of boring. I never understood fans of his, other than them liking his bravado and lifestyle, but inside the ring he rarly brought any excitemant.

FMJ in his prime was an artist in the ring. I have a huge appreciation for his skills. Once he became "money" I began to lose interest.

I guess I'm in the minority.
I find it entertaining and enjoyable to watch Floyd's perfect defense and countering abilities.
Watching him is watching an all time great.

Yup. Since the money persona he became boring. But he was always a very carefully boxer. I like more the action style. Offensive on a high level.

I've said several times.
The best boxer of his generation fighting people from other sports in boxing rules and adding this to his professional boxing legacy is a disgrace to boxing.
I had no issue with the exhibition fight.
A fighter is a fighter. When Conor trained for months for a Boxing match, and donned boxing gloves he was a Boxer at least for that night.
If Mayweather had fought one more guy nobody ever heard on the way up he could've just as easily had that 50th win that way too, but instead he had a big megafight with a Superstar from another sport.
Oh...the horror. The utter disgrace to a sport that has a reputation for fixes, involvement from gangsters, wasn't legal in several places until the 1920's, has been called for to be abolished by Politicians due to it's brutality, has been known to use and abuse fighters until they're well past their best, and suffer permanent brain damage as a result. Has a whole load of fighters who are known to be nothing ore than paid opponents, ya know show up, do ok, but not TOO good. Enough to lose.
Yeah...we wouldn't wanna disgrace all that would we?
Boxing is a Circus. Always has been.

Well said.

Floyd said his health is his wealth, which means if he does fight, it will not be a real boxing match vs someone that has a real chance to beat or hurt him. Fools will buy into it though, hoping to see Floyd lose. smh
