Zelfa won 5 rounds in the first bout. He could win 8 next time. Ronnie is older and had a really bad injury. Zelfa would be the favourite.

Why not get in touch with them?
MTK boys read these forums and no doubt they are very clued up on everyone in boxing. If they are interested I am sure they will be in touch.. That’s more the management side and would be great to have MTK take him on... If Eddie gave Ronnie the same chance he gave Sean Dodd or Dave Allen then he would be at least European Champion.. He just need the chance with a run of 3-4 fights.. Give Ronnie a good team and he will give you his all. He is also a massive character let that come out
Mate no way you don’t rely on some post on an Internet forum to run a business that’s ridiculous. Get onto them like other hungry boxers are. I know some boxers who have thrived. 👍🏼

Like what MTK do for boxers but in Scotland give me examples of boxers who MTK have really pushed. Sadly boxing up here is quite rubbish and not backed. Ronnie will be signed I believe if he went to them but hell be used as a name, example is when they made the joyce fight although we liked the fight that was there intention. No disrespect to MTK but they dont have barrett, cacace, woodstock etc and only have sharp who is world ranked and will not go near ronnie. We say go back to ireland due to the job mark dunlop done previously, his links to matchroom and the relationship he already has with ronald, despite me not really liking mark all that mich hes good at job, just look at tennyson.

Zelfa didn’t win 5 rounds. If you are being very kind he won 4 but in reality lucky if he won 2-3 rounds.. Commentary was really bad as usual in favour of the home fighter and I get that sways fans. Scoring the fight very kindly to Zelfa I had it 116-110 to Ronnie.. It could of been wider not closer.. As for the rematch good Zelfa will be favourite we made a packet off the bookies.. Ronnie walked through Zelfa the rematch would be seek and destroy. He has seen and felt Zelfa’s power and knows he can walk right through him and knows he can badly hurt him. Zelfa would not see the final bell in the rematch

Gary why do you just pop up when you want gossip like an old fish wife? You dont even know mark so only people who know mark will know why I didnt get on with him. Point is we disagreed on certain things after the zelfa fight but wasnt a big problem it happens. Ronnie is the one fighting so we make it all about him, all we do is promote his facebook page, he asks an opinion he gets one.

I watched Shark vs Brown Splash again with my breakfast and it’s a very clear win for Ronnie. In the very first round one of the biased commentary team stated ‘There no way Clarke can win this’. It was a statement of fact.

Hi David, one thing is right. You obviously think that Ronnie should rematch Zeffra, but it might be a pipe dream. I would like to think you, and your brothers are not putting all your fish in one basket. You mentioned other names, but realistically it would take a lot for The Shark to get back in a fight with a top uk fighter after being out for a few years, you maybe need to look to build him up.

I dont sell myself short gary trust me. Mark is quite honestly stereotypical boxing promoter, sad but true. A business man. Hes in the boxing business, we ain't. We say what we believe is best for ronnie, ain't no gain for us but to see ronnie succeed. End of the day while ronnie has been out 2 years guess who was there? Certainly wasnt anyone from the boxing world. Sometimes you need to know your own worth and at that time a difference of opinions, no big deal. And gary you may think your fishing for bites etc but when facts are spoken without an issue then your the one looking an idiot. You used to spoon arse for prospects, all of which have not done better than ronnie, not one. We did tell you this though. Guys like you are the reason boxing will not succeed. I remember David drummond was pulled off prospect show while driving to the venue. True boxing people you guys. Insane.

I don’t actually want him to rematch Zelfa he won comfortably.. Should Ronnie take a couple of comeback fights maybe.. Ronnie is at his best when he’s written off.. The penny has sunk finally and he now knows he is better in any of the Super Feathers in the uk..Ronnie could fight the likes of Juli Giner.. Jono Carroll, Martin J Ward tomorrow and I would 100% know he would not only beat them but stop them.. The likes of Zelfa or Cacace he would need a good camp with good sparring along with a good corner team and he wins both Zelfa is the best in the division in my opinion and Ronnie played with him.. As for who he should be with I have my opinions and he is more than aware of my opinion.. I just want Ronnie to get a good chance and a good run win or lose at least he will have been given his chance

While his family loyalty is very much to be admired I’m afraid in this game it has never been a sport it has always been a business and if promotors thought they could make money out of Ronnie they would be queuing up to sign him but obviously they don’t think there is money to be made out of him that’s the reality of it all but having said that I wish him well

Gary true or false did davie drummond get pulled off a show while driving threw to the fight? Your avoiding it. You were involved with that outfit. Also I remember ronnie was to fight on your show and his opponent was pulled on the day(if there was an opponent?) He sold 100 tickets and had to do a exhibition with eddie doyle to get paid, he offered to fight doyle at 140 but refused, shafting his fans, all facts. Also I know prospect tried to get in tow with MHD promotions so be why you know mark,

Ronnie hasnt approached any promoters as he had his operation in January and only started training 3 weeks prior to lockdown. We do know that its gonna be hard to take fights due to risk-reward and they arnt gonna hand over a prospect to someone who will try and win. Can only try though and hell have all his family and friends supporting him as he had had from the start.

100 tickets that’s a normal small hall ticket deal contract that explains why big promotors are not interested there’s no money in it for them that’s the reality of it all some fighters with less ability than Ronnie sell far more tickets than that tbh

If I remember rightly Ronnie sold close to 150 to a show 1 hour and a half away from where he stays.. The point was the opponent pulled out and to get paid he had to do a exhibition. No refund was offered to any of us that came through.. Not a way to treat fighters in my opinion.. Boxing is a hard sport without this kind of attitude another Dundee lad had people on one of our buses and they got stuck going to the show when he was pulled.. These lads take the punches yet get treated like something these promoters stepped in

100 tickets for a 6 round journeyman a 90 minute drive away is decent. Ronnie has always been a decent ticket seller and his fans brought alot of the atmosphere. Dundee lads have always been on the road and bring good numbers. Mike rowell was unbelievable sales and he did ridiculous sales in vip areas to be honest. Paul kean sold 100 VIP tickets I heard for a show in glasgow. Back then ronnie prob sold more tickets than Iain butcher and he was from where show was. I amnt sure where you are from spudder but scotland a bit different from england. Barry mcguigan would back me up with the sales he done amazing sales when he fought cacace in Edinburgh and before he got a pull out of a cyclone show again night before he had sold well over 100 tickets again, luckily the.ticket money was not in so was given back to fans. Ronnie does good numbers in aberdeen too but on bigger scale ronnie is a tadpole and will fight on the road. We hope one of.promotors will give him a chance and look to take the scalp. Time will tell

Yeah he sounds a decent ticket seller but one win on the road against a prospect who’s sold a lot of tickets and the phone will stop ringing unfortunately it sounds like he’s in no mans land doesn’t sell enough tickets for a big promotor and is far to good for promotors to risk their big ticket sellers against so unfortunately he’s in a very difficult position but best of luck to the lad

I'm just watching the Barrett fight again and i think Clark is a bit underrated. I'm guilty of it as well. He's always described as 'game' and 'tough' etc.. but in this fight he's blocking a lot of shots, moving well, mixing it up and his jab was excellent! I remember him in Belshaw gym in Paisley years back and he was just a game little dude but he's definitely picked up some proper skills over the years. Hopefully he gets sorted and comes back before it's too late for him.

Agree mate he’s like a seasoned old pro in that Zelda fight. Shame he’s getting all sorts of crazy advice. He needs to get in with a firm who do regular shows.

MTK dont contact anyone barring people who can offer them something, do you believe that guys there signing are head hunted? Your wrong. The fighter always makes the move. The attraction a promoter has with ronnie is he wont be in a rubbish fight, hes affordable, hell fight anyone and hes a genuine boxing man. Trust me hes well respected within boxing, nobody pushes as hard as him and things hes had to sacrifice not many have the get up and go to do it.

As for us doing no favours ronnie is his own man, he isnt advised from anyone. Representing him, we arnt paid to do anything we do it to HELP him, but dont mix that help up with thinking we dont have our own brains and tell him what we think, he wants to listen fine if not we dont care. Boxing is full of yes men and back stabbing. For such a sport to be full of tough men and warriors, it's like a bunch of fish wives.
