Sports develop over time. Look at the world cup in football from the 80s for example. Its painfully slow to watch compared to todays football.
Sure Ali is a HW-legend, same with Marciano, but they wouldnt stand a chance against the top heavyweight boxers today.
Are you serious ?
I see now that my example from football wasnt the best here
Training, nutrition etc. evolve over time. Ali was had very fast hands and footwork until he was 24-25, before his layoff.
He weighed around 210 pounds at most for his fights pre -67.
I have read his autobiography. Some strange theories there...

We never saw true prime Ali. At 24-25 he hadn't yet had his man strength nor filled out.

They prob voted like that to trigger the touchey history bruhs, I mean sure, by far the biggest vote is for Ali in the top spot, but I guess this one must still be even more unbearable than Liston not getting 100 percent of the #1 votes

I could see Fury's size and style giving Ali a bit of trouble but eventually Ali would figure him out.
Ali beating AJ and Wilder is a no brainer.

Angelo Dundee had claimed that the best Ali's years should had been 1967-1970. The stolen years.

So true and Ali would probably have put together another 10-12 successful title defenses in that time.

Yes, and he would have retired on time (and healthy, too).................

He still would have lost to Frazier.

I did watch boxing matches from the 20th century and i still think Ali is not unbeatable by todays heavies. He was very skilled but or etc Ken Norton figuered him out in his prime. Do you really have such a low opinion about todays heavies that nobody reaches the level of Ken Norton? And the thing is size does play a bigger part today because yes there were 6'6 guys before but none of them were this skilled. Also Ali couldnt use his signiture style at 90% of the matches because he would have to fight like the much smaller and shorter guy.

I, for one, think Norton was better than any of today's heavyweights.

Norton vs Fury would be a tough call. Norton or Frazier would beat AJ easily IMO.

Not sure if today's HW"s would hold up to the level of activity that 70's guys fought at.

Prime Frazier would deal with Ali even without that hiatus of Ali.
