He was a popular fighter, but after quitting his belt to avoid Kid Galahad he received quite a backlash online.
Only from you. He’s disliked by anti Leeds fans.

garethhop wrote: 22 Apr 2021, 10:41 Worth remembering that the separate AJ/Matchroom contract is up around now too (clearly the 2 fight deal with Fury is part of that but only if it happens....) and that AJ's firm also manages a number of boxers including Okolie and Buatsi who in my view are the only two marketable Matchroom contracted UK male fighters other than Benn (ahead of them both) and Warrington (who is on the precipice right now after his beating).

Look forward to seeing the Sky Sports strategy.

Yeah, he got a backlash from people connected to the Ingle gym would be more accurate.

warrington is a big name in british boxing. i dont have an opinion on him either way but thats undeniable. mtk would be my bet possibly wasserman. Hearn, warren, mtk are the big 3 in boxing, after that there isnt really anyone, possibly hobson.

yes mate, Barry is the kind of boxer who really unites casual fans the length and breadth of the country just desperate to see him again, having not quite got enough of the Junior Witter 'stare and feint' style the first time round.

I don't think anyone is denying that. Quitting his belt didn't make him more popular.

Let’s be honest.... Baz was never going to be on the Canelo card. They should stick it on the Harper undercard.

Harsh on Junior.
That streak he went on after Judah was fearsome.

I liked Witters entrance song in the Lucky Sambo fight. Banging tune

"The hitters in the house.... Junior Witters in the house!!"
