yup, can ktfo guys with super short shots that he doesnt look like he's putting much into, hardly needs any space to get big power

i feel a bit sorry for smith tbh, he's such a warrior but man did he ever get whooped. hope top rank keeps supporting him and he comes back strong

ya he went for it. he had to let his hands go to have a shot tbh, had he been more cautious he would've lasted longer but merely just prolonged his defeat

Beterbiev is outstanding

No one has done that to the improved version of Smith jnr :box:

Artur simply brushed him aside, there's nothing Joe could have done to make an impression. Beterbiev was far too superior !

Yarde didn't beat anyone worthy to earn his first world title shot at the ripe-for-the-taking Kovalev and has done even less to earn another shot at the formidable Beterbiev.

Buatsi is closing in on the big boys but isn't quite there yet, and he's far more deserving than Yarde !

Anthony should stay in his lane, he's a total imposter stepping into the ring with a unified champion like Beterbiev :shame:

Take your beating from Buatsi and be honest with where your level is in boxing. At least it would probably be a good fight.

There's only one fight in the Light heavyweight division the world should see next....Beterbiev v Bivol :yay:

Beterbiev against Bivol please
You kidding? Beterbiev will f*cking pulverize Yarde.
I agree but from British perspective with Yarde's power is does peak my interest, I'm all in on the Bivol undisputed fight though

Joe went for it, but too hyped up thought he was invincible, no defence.. you could see the belief drain from him as Art started landing late in the first, and it was clearly game over.

It reminded me of Enzo Mac going kamikaze with David Haye: exact same result.

What a great champion, the dark destroyer.
I’d love to see him take on yard in London, X rated Bombs away.

Dynamite from Bet there :box:

Smith tried to win the lottery by engaging in Beterbiev’s preferred fight. His corners advice when he’s been decked twice in the 2nd with 100 secs left summed it up (land the right hand). Should’ve been clinching and trying to smother and get to the end of the round. He needs a new trainer tbh

Shots to the side of the head scrambled Joe up nicely. You cannot get into a fire fight with Bet otherwise you’re going to hospital. Brave but stupid stupid game plan and he pretty much handed that WBO belt over no sweat. Disappointing from Joe.

No other fight makes sense apart from Bivol. Surely Yarde will HAPPILY take step aside cash to allow that undisputed fight to happen in September. Yarde gets stopped early… he gets stopped late if he fights negative. No way he wins imo. Bet is just a machine; true 50/50 against Bivol.

Punch of the night was Robeisy Ramirez. Snoozed him with a great left hand. You get a little bit more work rate out of him then you have a potential world champion on your hands. Nice prowling style… smirking and economical and will be a tricky night for anyone. Lots of good fights at feather for him.

I kinda like the way he looked at Nova when he landed that punch. Pure contempt. Weird as it was quite a quiet build up from both men. Ramirez is the kind of pudendum you wanna see get beaten up but he’s gonna disappoint you a lot before that happens. Talented boy; prick of a guy.

Smith just did what he could. That's his style. He was made for Beterbiev. Attempts to box or to avoid the fight would just give Joe extra time before the inevitable.

Guy was a world champion. Should know that when you’re hurt you try to ride the storm and smother, run, clinch ect. Being there hurt trying to bomb Beterbiev out is like 1/10000 chance. Not one effort to try to be smart or try something different. He came to fight, fair play, but you have to be a bit smarter. Beterbiev didn’t have a hard time finding the finish. Joe was just right there like a baby chicken on the M1.

I just rewatched some highlights (by that I mean the full fight) and I kinda get sorry for Smith.

He didn’t know what to do at times. He couldn’t hurt Bert. His corner told him to throw the right hand but Smith is a slugger before anything else.

He can throw bombs.. but in this case. Bert throws bigger bombs.

Where’s EO?

He was saying on a thread in the last about nationality that Bert hardly speaks any English?

It seemed pretty oryt to me.

Beterbiev's power is a bit strange, doesn't ice people like Julian Jackson but has serious weights in his hands, just punches holes in dudes, Foremanlike

Yeah, he wasn’t chinned unconscious but definitely couldn’t stay on his feet.
Love ya baby, but Smith was put down 3 times.
Forget technicalities.
Smith was banged out with ease.

I agree with all that.

It seemed very easy for Bert. He was out of his feet a few times there.. he was still standing though.

Just trying to give a bit of respect to Joe Smith, which then gives Bert more respect for the win.

Fair enough, mate. Big respect to Smith; he come swinging and showed no fear.

Just feel it was the wrong game plan once he got hurt.

Beterbiev is insanely dangerous when you have all your faculties. Once you’re hurt vs him you need to be smarter and pray that you can get through the storm.

Beterbiev has every punch in the book.

The uppercut he nailed Smith jnr with shortly before the stoppage was a beauty :salut:

Artur never goes all in with wild shots when he's got his opponent in trouble, it's always clinical precision.

He doesn’t seem to load up. He has short shots, but he must have some power in them.

ya, joe wasnt put down for a full 10 count or anything like that, but he got wrecked. but i still love him, he went for it like the bad arse he was, unfortunetly the other guy was a super bad arse. precision with booming power in every shot. stone hands
