I think it will happen. I think with Usyk being stopped by Martin Bakole in training Usyk is coming to the end of his career and Fury is jumping in for an easy payday.

Saying that it would be easier to defragment the titles as there would be more fights but shite fighting for the titles, at least from a fan perspective we would get some heavyweight action.

The thing is, we only have Bakole's word for it. Billy Nelson said he wasn't there. Was it a low blow? Dubois' shot to Uysk was low.

Also, people have different levels of fitness to each other depending on when they spar, which is why the only way to see who the best is, is to fight in a formal contest.

Bakole sounds like the most terrifying fighter ever going on his sparring stories but, the one time he has faced an opponent of note, he was stopped.

Without context, who knows what happened. If could have been a perfect body shot or it could have been low, feet tangled, off balance or a n other.

Usyk was clear he didn’t want to fight in December.
He turned the April fight down in the hope he would get a better deal in Saudi.
Neither decision was anything to do with Fury.

The British Boxing Board of Control have sanctioned it, so it sounds like it will be a fight. Shameful, if true.

Also, if Uysk isn't fully fit, why fight on the 23rd December, why not just push it back a few weeks. Surely, if you are Fury, you'd want to face a fully fit Uysk, so he can say he is better. What's the point if you opponent is injured and not ready.

Fury at a cross roads he can either

Fight Francis again over 12 rounds for the actual WBC title. easier fight to make and be a another big casual fight. if he didnt train for it then he should make things right in the rematch but the USyk fight probably wont happen till later next year. Maybe Usyk can fight Wilder.

Fight Usyk and blame he didnt take the Francis fight serisouly. maybe play the mental health card again. If he wins fight Francis again if he loses then retire.

Cash out fight against Joshua thou i dont think it will be as massive as it would have been.
